I'm a horrible speller. It's the only class I did poorly in from grade 3 on.

I can fix nearly every problem ever with computers... Do complicated calculus problems... but spell a word? Yikes.

I just can't believe how ridiculous this all is. I almost feel as if I have no right to even feel neglected by Montreal, when most of you folks have been waiting so much longer.

It was a wham-bam-thankyou-maam call of:

1) Yes, there is no interview and never was.

2) Further delays at Montreal, don't expect one till next year.

3) Stop calling every day.

I gotta admit, I cried.

This is why they now have call centers. Imagine waiting in line for an hour or more to ask someone, face-to-face...

Honestly, all I want is to see their statistics. How many visas are they actually processing on a regular basis? And how many full-time employees do they have working there? Are there no lesser employees who can be trained to replace the supposed exodus over the summer?

I'm curious about that too. I remember seeing something posted on here somewhat recently that said Canada only had around 700 K-1 visas processed last year. Now, I realize there are tons of other visas as well, but other consulates can handle those... so splitting that between MTL and VAN is less than one K1 each PER DAY. No excuses. This is ridiculous.

Canada only processed 711 K-1 visas last year.

5000 in the Philippines.

I totally understand and feel all of your pain. How about my situation, Married for 11 years, 3 kids, 10, 8, and 3. Sold the house in Canada, wife and kids living with my Mother. It makes no sense, how can they keep me from my family? just sucks! I have calls with my wife every night and the stress is killing her. My kids are crying every night just wanting to be here with me.

I'm not saying anyone case is more deserving, just hurts to hear about all of this and there is nothing I can do to make my wife and kids feel better, i can't even hold them when they are feeling shitty. They missed seeing me on my birthday, thanksgiving, Halloween, I will not be able to be there for my youngest 4th birthday. My mother in law bought tickets to visit all of us in our new home in az for christmas... I don't think my wife and kids will even be here for that.

no married for 11 years (in Canada) as I was a PR of Canada. Lived in Canada since I was 8. I moved back to the US last november and started the process in Feb of this year.

No need to apologize - a lot of people are frustrated right now. This 5-6 months wait for an interview is really nothing new. We were told of our interview in December and my Husband had his interview in Feb (08). We were just on the upswing part of interviews speeding up - so 3 months - prior to that they were running at the 5-6 month range.

So, they managed to kind of/sort of pull it together for a year and a half-ish.
