Hi Guys

I was at my Interview last tuesday....and am still waiting on the visa from the courier service.

i have checked and traced it on the courier website with the reference number but nothing coming up

on the system.

I call the courier service they say they have not had anything sent to them for me and to

contact the embassy, which i did, the person i spoke to said that the process would be between 5-10 days

before it is sent to the courier services for them to deliver.

My question is is it normal for it not to have been delivered yet, 5 working days later?

how long did it take from the interview until you actually got the visa delivered?

thanks in advance.

I know it's very hard not to panic and be impatient, but try to relax and give it another week.

There have been other posters that have waited quite a long time to receive their visas, but they did eventually come.

Good luck and best wishes. I'm sure you'll get it any day now.

I think it does widely vary, but keep us posted, please. Some of us just interviewed or soon to interview would love to be aware of the status of visa deliveries.

Hang in there! I'm sure it will be soon!

Thanks!

I had my interview the day before you. Still no visa either. Called the embassy today and they thought the time scale was fine. I did also call the courier and they said the tracking only shows up once they have it in hand, day before delivery normally.

Glad I am not the only one.

from what I've seen over the time I been on this forum it can be anything from 2 - 15 days. The latter end of the scale being a rarity.

Some hiccup slowed things up again happens every now and then, nothing to worry about.

If you knew the London Embassy than you would know that 5 days is slow. The normal is 2 - 4 days from interview to being in your hand.

Well maybe this will be better since others say the consulate is wrong and it only takes 2-4 days to get it...Here are some timelines from 20 similar to yours of them only 3 have had appointments so far, and approvals at interview and all of them are at 10 days or longer and the results are 1 got visa in 10 days 1 in 11 and one with interview on 28th and still no visa...

Hope this helps to calm your jitters....

Well done so you can look up a few timelines, how much knowledge do you have of the London Embassy over the many years people have been posting here. I have just had a pleasant lunch this afternoon with a friend on vacation from the UK where she works in the Consular section of the US Embassy. She still seems to think 2 - 5 days for a visa after the interview is the normal but heck what does she know.

There is some hiccup which has slowed things down but that doesn't make it normal.

When I answer questions I tend to stick to facts NOT WHAT SOMEONE says MAY HAPPEN and lately they have not been in 2-4 days and telling someone it is does nothing but prolong their angst waiting thinkin "HOW MUCH LONGER" so whatever you wish to think.

Just like you said SOMETIMES they do run slower....and NOW IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES...

He spoke to someone at the embassy that told him 5-10 days was NORMAL for them b4 they are sent to the courier service...

So who's right the lunch date, the person he spoke to on the phone, jellyfish the previous poster whos been on hold for 10 days now and no visa, the timelines.... who really cares who's right, the fact is now it's taking longer than NORMAL.
