Got a nice lady at the NVC today who told me, that no, my petition wasn't in their system yet and that it could take 4 weeks to 90 days for it to be processed. I am sure hoping it happens faster than that. Has anyone else from NOA2 on Jan. 8 gotten their NOA2 hardcopy yet?

I received my NOA2 hard copy on Monday. I called the NVC yesterday and they told me the same thing:( I'm still gonna try later today :)

Wow that was fast! My file last got touched on 01/09/2010 so I figure it probably didn't go out until Monday's mail. I hope it is in the mailbox this afternoon when I go home! I will definitely be calling NVC again tomorrow morning though.

I haven't received the hard copy of my NOA2 yet either - approval was on January 8. :-/

I hope the touch means good things!

I was hoping for my hard copy NOA2, but no such luck. Only one piece of mail that had to do with tax season. Maybe tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone who recently got their NOA2s!

as for me... unfortunately, i got this email on my blackberry from the USCIS just a few minutes ago stating that a request for additional evidence or information has been sent... :(

i've gone through the copy of the packet i sent for the nth time already and i have no idea what i missed... i followed the guides carefully and never expected to get an RFE... i'm so upset and frustrated at myself right now... i guess i'll just have to wait for the actual notice to arrive in the mail so i can find out exactly... :bonk:

Well, after going through the packet I sent the USCIS again (for the 10th time, I think), I think I know what I did incorrectly. There are a couple actually. Both on my fiancee's G-325A form. First, on the question "If your native alphabet is other than Roman letters..." I accidentally left that (blank) when I should have put "N/A." Second, I also accidently left the box outlined by heavy borders in the bottom of the form (blank) when I should have put her name there. :bonk:

Luckily, my parents are in the Philippines and will be flying back to the US on Sunday. I had her print and sign the corrected forms I just sent her via email and she'll be handing them to my parents tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure if those were the reasons for the RFE but if my assumptions are correct, at least I'll have copies of the corrected and signed forms by Sunday.

Just out of curiosity, what all did you send as evidence of having met in the past 2 years? I'm a little worried I might be in store for an RFE myself, since all I sent was several recent photos of us together. I hadn't stumbled across this website when I prepared the petition packet, so I figured a bunch of pics would be evidence enough. In retrospect, the pics don't really prove WHEN we met, so that's probably why they require other pieces of evidence. My only saving grace might be that another official government document I submitted listed my 2008 address as being in Taiwan. Don't know if it'll be enough, tho. Fortunately, you'll get approved pretty quickly after getting your evidence submitted! Good luck!

I submitted a copy of both our boarding passes during our trip to Boracay Island and Bangkok. I also submitted hotel receipts and about 10 photographs of us together, one of which was taken below the sign our hotel in Boracay and another taken behind an elaborate sand castle with the date distinctively part of the creation.

Congrats Krilii! Isn't it exciting!

TaiwanLover, I only had pictures with a type written date (not on the picture) and explanation of where we were. I also included a copy of an announcement from my school about our engagement (but it was on regular paper, not anything special, but it did have a date and a web address to go get "the real thing") and my petition was approved. I had no boarding passes, receipts, or anything. I didn't learn about this site until about a month after my petition was in the hands of USCIS.
