Soooo, I'm new here. Hi. :luv:

After planning, saving every shred of paper, and stressing out for the past two years since the temporary greencard was issued, today we sent off our (4lb!!) packet and application for Removal of Conditions.

Because I've been so worried about getting everything 'just right' in our packet, we sent this off 30 days before the greencard expires.

Now, I'm wondering how long will it take for that NOA extending residency for 12 months to come? (We sent the app to the Cali service center).

Also, curious how long we might be waiting for the greencard as we're hoping to travel out of the country in April.

Any insight?

(I didn't see a thread for October Filers, so my apologies if there's one out there that I missed!!!)

Appreciate your help!! :)(L)

Too bad I didn't find this branch until today. I could have used the advice, I see. I hope I didn't send too much information....I was trying to be diligent and thorough, hoping to make it quite obvious that every shred of our life is shared.

Also, I didn't send it in an ACCO (not even sure what that is) but a three-ring binder. I'm just praying that it is looked upon favorably.

C'mon guys, I'm new here, but I'm freaking....any consolation or advice on when I can expect to see that NOA?

ta muchly....

too much information is never enough. You did great. Removal of conditions really depends on if you get an RFE (request for more information) or not...that can slow the process down, but if you want a realistic number 4-6 months... so relax it won't happen right away, be patient.

You can always blab to me while you wait :)

Also.. they will extend your 2 year conditional greencard for you if processing takes too long and they will send you a letter extending it. Carry that letter on you if that happens.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm sure I'll be blabbing on here these next few days until this anxiousness wears off - if you don't mind!

I'm worried how long it'll be until we get that letter extending the tempo. greencard for another year. The tempo greencard expires the beginning of November. Can we expect to receive that letter before then (a month)?

Also, if they send a RFE - I'm not sure what else we can send? We really sent everything with this app. already.

Any suggestions?

BLAB AWAY I AM HERE TO HELP YOU! First they will send you a letter stating that they have received your removal of conditions and they are processing it. That will take a load off your back. Then if it get's close to the time of expiration, call them. If you have valid information that you sent them, they will not send you an RFE... you may even be approved without a interview! Wouldn't that be exciting! You still have to do biometrics, but wait a couple weeks... breathe... let them process it and give them time. I know it's hard not to worry, but time is all it takes. i will be here with you the whole time *hugs*

Maybe you should start a topic with the subject as October I-751 filers and insert your timeline. You can copy one "timeline" from our September thread topic, or from other months.

Also, since you sent only one month after us, you should have a look at the September thread anyway to see how long others have been receiving their NOAs, sometimes not receiving it at all (but receiving the Bio appt letter).

Now that you have already sent the package, you have to sit down and (try) to relax. I know it is hard, I can't relax myself. I already got my NOA and waiting for my bio appt letter.

Good luck to you!

That's freaky. You didn't receive an NOA? Don't you have to have that to track your status online with USCIS? ughhh...my NOA better come otherwise I won't be in pretty shape.

I really am trying to relax - altho last night I swear I didn't sleep a wink. I am very wound up and worried that we forgot something, that something is going to be scrutinized, that we're going to be called in for an interview, blah, blah, blah.

NycBra - when did you get your NOA? I mean, how long did it take?

(also, I'd be happy to start a new October thread...I'll give it a shot, altho I'm not sure how to format the timeline thing appropriately....)

Nope, no NOA at all, just the biometrics appointment. Actually, you can check the status online using the case number on your Bio letter. But you definitely need the NOA because it states there that your GC was extended for a year while the I-751 is pending. Since I needed the extension, I went to an Infopass and got it stamped on my passport. I also had the Bio done while I was there.

Hi ichi. I submitted my I-751 on 9/16 and my NOA arrived on 9/26. But it varies by each person. I think 10 days is the average time.

I updated your October time list, but feel free to modify the format. Maybe someone else will join your list and help update future October filers. Good luck.
