Hello everyone!

I am trying to get some info about the I864 AOS for the parent of a US citizen. I know that if the sponsor's income is not enough they can use a member of their household or a joint sponsor to meet the requirements.

If the sponsor's husband's income is enough, would he need to fill out an entirely separate I864 or would he just be listed on the sponsors AOS form as a household member with sufficient income?

So I guess my question is do they need to fill out 2 separate forms?

Thank you soooo much for your help!

The form instructions are a very good source of information. I encourage you to read them.

Any person who is a co/joint sponsor will complete their own form and supply the needed information. If the person is a household member then they would complete and I-864A. If not, then an I-864.

The petitioner will complete and I-864 no matter what as they are the primary sponsor.
