soooo... we checked our account today and our checks have been cashed! YAAAAAY!

then, when i got home from work i found a letter from uscis in the mailbox, yay, or so i thought. turns out it was a rejection notice for my i-765. i used an expired version of the form.

and here is the first hurdle. i thought i checked everything a million times but oh no. let's hope this is the only thing.

i wonder if they will continue processing 130 and 485 whilst they wait for my 765?

bummer.

hopefully the good noas will be in the mail tomorrow.....

oh noo.. after reading your msg, i immediately checked my forms.. good thing it's not the expired version.. but I have a problem, i checked my I-693, the Civil Surgeon used the form that expired last August.. and I got my vaccine and physical exam last September.. so what will happen then? im worried.. can you guys check your I-693? 'cause i checked it on the uscis website still they didn't change the new form.. still the older version was there on the website

if it's still on the website it'll be ok, you might've heard by now anyway. i think they normally accept previous copies but somewhere along the line i picked up an i-765 from 2005.... waaaay back.

they sent ours back before we even got the noas for the other forms so if you haven't heard anything already surely that's a good sign for you!

thinking positive!

Ack, sorry to hear about your refusal hudons...but surely you can just resubmit the newer version and have them look it over again, right?

Yeah it's best to get the versions from USCIS b/c when I was using the ones from VJ some seemed to be outdated

We never received our NOAs this week and they still haven't cashed our checks. But it's only been 7 days...the wait is killing me

The version on the USCIS website says it expired 08/31/09 but that's the version I used since their website is supposed to have the most up-to-date forms. On the main page under the medical form it says "06/05/08. Previous editions will be accepted only for medical exams conducted before August 1, 2008. Medical exams conducted on or after August 1, 2008, require use of the 06/05/08 edition (link at bottom of page)." But 06/05/08 is even OLDER than the version we used. I think we should be OK

ok, I finally have good news, today when I've opened my mailbox there were 4 envelopes there. First I got a little bit nervous, as I was only expecting to see 3 letters (I-485, I-130 and EAD), so I was assuming we already got a RFE. However when I opened the forth envelope it was invitation for biometrics inside! I could not believe my eyes! I was not expecting it for at least couple more weeks. I'm excited! Now I can relax and enjoy the weekend

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

2009.10.09 - I-130 and I-485 sent to Chicago, IL (Day 1)

wow! that is awesome about your biometrics letter already anastasia!! fantastic.

i got noas for i-130 and i-485 this morning and apparently a refused 765 doesn't hold up processing on those because it's seperate. good news there!

turns out they're not too picky about the forms, but the one i sent in was sooooo old that it didn't have a barcode on. uh oh.

i can send out a new one on monday, i have to send it back to chicago lockbox. not such a big deal. i'll just have to wait a bit longer for my ead.

the disappointment was remedied when i got my good noas.
