thanks so much for your fast reply but plz can u be more specific

Not many more specifics to it....

Each local office will operate at their own speed depending on how busy they are.

USCIS posts processing times for each local office, but like other visa processing times, they are only the maximum target time to process within.

VJ also has some statistics for each local office, which might be more helpful.

Processing time varies but not "by state". It varies by workload, particualrly at local offices for interviews, biometrics, etc. I will put Vermont against any comers. 8 weeks for my wife and 1 son, filing to green card in hand, and 6 weeks for our K-2 to follow, filing to green card approval.

Everyone sends their application to the same place, the workloads of the local offices will make difference and I do not imagine Pennsylvania is the fastest since they have a pretty big population and two very big cities, I would guess their workload is pretty high.

thanks so much

plz can u tell me how can i find those statistics if u have the links

thanks again

There are stimated timelines for each local office here at this site

I believe MI is the fastest. Their current processing timeframe is 4 months.

The processing times on USCIS website is just an estimate. Actual time is much faster than shown in my experience.

It all depends on the number of case they have before yours.

What?

How will you go to live in the States without a visa? I am confused. You mean your fiance(E) significant otrher can just move to wherever you want to live during the process? Now I am confused. Where you live during the peition process makes no difference, during the AOS process it may make a difference based on local offices, NOT States. Michigan has the hughest unemployement of any state in The USA so I imagine their local office may be a little slow. Everyone is moving OUT of Michigan. But hey, someone needs to turn off the lights when everyone else is gone

Assuming that you're applying for AOS via relation to a family member, why wouldn't you just be living with that family member? If you're not coming on some kind of family based visa, how are you adjusting?
