Anyone catch the Tigers-Twins tiebraker yesterday/last night?

I did. My fantasy team had players still going.

Ha ha.....surely you jest! You root for the Lambs?

GGGGGGOOOOOOOO Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmmmmmmmm...footbal is indeed the Game..too me....but i root for the cardinals..

Re: football & the other Cardinals, the husband and I went to a Cardinals game the week before last. It was my first NFL game in a real NFL stadium (as opposed to seeing the Cardinals in Sun Devil Stadium). The game itself kinda sucked, but it was a great time.

I grew up a Pats fan (and still support them), but my dad never took us to see a game because he was worried about the "rowdy" fans. He was a little weird about that sort of thing. We did see lots of Sox games, tho.

You guys have Warner now, right?

pujols and the redbirds

Pujols better get his act together!

Yup, we have Warner.

I'm rooting for the Cards (STL) in their series. I hate the Dodgers (sorry Marilyn!).

Dodgers aren't even filling the stadium. WTH. Can't get near Busch Stadium during most games.

thing is a lot of people usually get there in the 3rd inning and leave in the 7 inning.... lol.. probably because of all the traffic...

and I just checked there is an average of 46,440 people at a Dodger home game and an average of 41,274 at a game at Busch Stadium...

Still have my high school baseball glove, cost 35 bucks back then and took awhile to save up for it. Keep a baseball bat at my garage door service entrance to ward off unwanted visitors, it works. Took my younger brother to a White Sox game, he caught a foul ball. Never seen a ball like that before nor after, really has high ribs, man, could I throw a curve ball with that thing, we wore it out tossing it back and forth, leather fell off.

Takes a special person to play baseball, have to stand around for hours and do nothing with six other guys, the pitcher and catcher get to play catch. If something does happen, have to snap into action instantly, usually brain dead by then, so not really my sport. To really be good at it, have to take steroids, that wasn't my bag either after reading about some of the side effects, like death.

Wife and I did watch the Chicago White Sox beat the pants off of Houston, I think, was unbelievable it was a four game sweep, practically all World Series games go the full seven games so they make more money. But that was the last time, never thought I would see the Sox even get to the World Series, but as typical, if any team does, they break it up for the next year. Just like the Chicago Bulls taking sweeps with Jordan. Kind of suspect something the rest of the time, like these are fixed, same with pro football.

Did watch Brett beat the pants off the Packers, I like Brett, but hate the management of the Packers, but wouldn't dare cheer for him in public, would be a suicide act in Wisconsin. Since I was both the project manager and head engineer of several very complex projects, got to pick my own team and would dump guys that couldn't hack it, that is how you succeed. Saw Brett in the same situation, but had to put up with the idiots his management tossed at him, had no say, and he is the guyt that knows what is going on. Can appreciate his frustration with the Packers. Did point this out to some diehard Packer fans, no arguments on that.

I can live without professional sports, instead, go outside and toss a ball with your kids. One good way to avoid having fat gut.

I have loved the last two games between my beloved Angeles and the Red Sox but know anything can happen so hope Kazmir can have the same success as Lackey and Weaver. Go angels, win another one for the cowboy, too bad he missed 2002

Waaa!

Come on, Sox!

I thought the problem would be pitching, but scoring 1 run in 18 innings? Oy!

Come on, Sox!

How about a guy that spent his early childhood everyday swinging a bat not get a hit? And better at it than tens of thousands of others wanting that same position on the team, and so good at it, worth earning several million a year. Unless he is told to miss. And we are looking at 1 out of 3, not 3 out of 3.

How about the other guy who spent his entire life learning to throw a ball that that guy can't hit? ;)

my hubby is getting excited about the possibility of a Angels and Dodgers World series...

That could be interesting.

Now that the Sox are out, I can only hope for a humiliating Yankees defeat in some form.
