hi everybody,i have a good job at bibliotheca alexandrina (am the beneficiary) i need to quit my job once i finish the nvc phase,cos i will be occupied with ccie network expert course and it needs a lot of time and money as well.iam a little bit afraid can this affect my interview or visa issuance?

all your answers are highly appreciated esp guys from egypt.

unfortunately, it is not advisable to quit a job until you have the visa in your hands. the reason being, no one is guaranteed a visa at the time of interview. also, many, many people have to go through additional processing (AP) for additional security checks. From reading on VJ, i have seen it take anywhere from a couple of weeks to well over a year. good luck in your decision :thumbs:

As payxibka said - they (the Embassy/Consulate) is aware you are planning to move to the US and part of moving is winding down things like jobs, homes/apartments etc. They do not expect a person to remain employed up to the day they leave .
