Is Petitioners Passport needed for Manila Interview?

Hello everyone. I'm just getting all of my Proof of Relationship stuff ready here for CR-1 Visa, our interview is on the 22nd. I thought I read somewhere that the first interview asks for a copy of the petitioners passport. I can copy it easy enough, just trying to minimize paper waste, and I will be at the interview anyways so they can see my passport if the want it. Anyone face that at their Interview? Thanks!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Shirr had copies of my details page and of every entry and exit stamp.

She was never asked to show it but why risk it?

There is no such thing as paper waste in this process. The better you can prove things the better it is for you.

For all of you saying yes, can you explain why it was needed?

The Petitioner has already submitted this data with the initial application request, which a copy of is forwarded to the Embassy, so they already have a copy.

I did not require my fiance to put anything in her folders that was already submitted. Only new/updated info.

And we passed with out any hitches.

Directly from the VJ Guides -

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2.Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

What if the USCIS or Dept of State misplaced one of the original documents? The burden of proof falls onto the beneficiary/petitioner. Most do not want to take the chance of being put into AP, AR, or having to appeal a denial.
