My husband's 2-year green card was approved in January 2008.

Just to verify, we have until January 2009 to remove conditions, correct? We don't plan on waiting 'til last minute but like everyone else, my husband's job assigment was cut and work has been slow. We haven't been able to save as much money as we had planned and we won't be able to send out the I-751 next month.

Thanks in advance!

You mean January 2010. Best try to gather up the money and get the process rolling in the next few weeks, certainly by November.

Yea, sorry...2010. But we do have 'til then, right?

We've been saving, but October is around the corner. I was hoping we could do it by November.

You said that he was approved in Jan 2008, then Jan 2010 is two years. November 2009 would be ok to send in the I-751

I just wanted to "hear" it from someone here. I remember that we were told we could mail it out beginning in October. Thanks for the help!

By my count your PR/Green Card expires

01/07/2010 <-- you have until this date (or what ever expiration date is on the card) to file the I-751

Your window to file the I-751 opens 10/09/09 (this is the soonest you can file)
