Hello all wonderful MENA ladies, I miss you all more then you know, but as you know of what happened, sometimes it was hard for me to come here to VJ.

SO...... wanted to update you all, Im fine, day by day, as ugly as this will sound, I count my blessings this has happened, a marriage does not work one only one of the couple is truly in love.

For me, Im healing, and believe it or not, Im happy. Starting to live again, even went out with friends a couple of times, and it felt good. Coming out of my thump as a good friend says, LOL. Even been asked out a few times, but I declined the invitations. You ladies on VJ have been a inspriration to me, and at many times my crutch, thank you all for all the kindness and warm PM's you have sent me. I wish you all a very happy holiday season and a very good 2010!!! Its been a rough year for all.

Much love to all of you's !!!!

Happy Holidays!!!!

Beth XOXOXO

(((((((((((((((((((((((((Beth))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

P.S. - Don't turn down all the dates. Nothing wrong with going out for a good pizza and bowling sometime.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Ok...First off, hi everybody...I'm just beginning the visa process & most of my questions have probably been answered 100's of times, but I can't seem to find them...lol So...I'm getting all the papers together for the K1 visa and am good with everything, except...how much proof of the meeting and relationship should i send?? I've read that you can't send too much to Casa, so should I just send the 300+ pages of conversations (edited of course), plus around 60 pics of the 2 weeks i was there, proposal & engagement party?? Also, I am going to return to morocco to be with Hicham the 1st of march with my daughter & we are staying till end of August, or till he gets the visa, which ever comes sooner :) So will that affect things, since I won't techincally have a set income?? I've read that Casa doesn't even ask for theAffidavit of Support...what's everyones opinion on that? Thanks for the help & any pointers u may have for a newbie :) And just an fyi, I'll be mailing the application out asap...still getting some proof together & copies done...but by the 1st at the latest.

Thanks again,

Monica

Hey Monica.

You said that you are getting "everything ready for the K1 visa", are you talking about the interview or sending the petition to USCIS?

I dont know a whole lot about the K1 petition process but interview proof is the same all around usually so I would say that you need to establish an ongoing relationship/communication moreso than the meeting. That is for the interview itself. I do know for the K1 petition, you need to establish meeting in the last 2 years so maybe thats what you are talking about.... if that is the case, do send enough to show that you have met but I wouldnt send 600+ pages. You CAN frontload the petition by sending proof that you have an ongoing relationship and that way the consul will see all of that before they interview him.

If you are going to be there living for 5 months, they may ask you to prove domicle in the US before issuing the visa... Im not sure but I would check into that. I have heard that many consuls dont ask for the AOS for K1's but Im not sure about casa.

Good Luck and welcome :)

Lisa

so I hear our new chick talking to obviously a potential new hire. here's the convo:

"oh, ok so you are a citizen?"

"ok, so you are married to a US citizen and that makes you a citizen..ok, thats great"

"uh huh I understand, you came here from your country and married a citizen so you are able to work here now right?"

"ok, great, thanks!"

LOL, she's new and doesnt know that Im the resident immi specialist here at the office :P

I walked over and highlighted his conditional card's date and explained to her that marrying a USC doesnt get you automatic citizenship

The guy kept telling her.. " I married a USC" funny stuff

Welcome to VJ and the thread Monica! :)

In our original I-129F packet we only sent 6 photos of us together, 2 IM conversations, and 10 emails of different dates.. In the I-129F packet they care most about evidence of you meeting your fiance in person like plane tickets, boarding passes, and photos of you together... I wouldn't send that much evidence in the first packet... But at the interview stage it's highly recommended that your fiance brings with him as much evidence as possible.. So after sending the packet focus on collecting as much proof as possible for the interview... Good luck and if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! (L)
