Heh. :)

Unless you have money to burn and/or you're feeling charitable to DHL, you really only need to send a fraction of your chats. 10-12 pages at most, and even that's a lot. They're looking for proof, not overwhelming evidence to convince a jury. :) If your packet of evidence is more than 1/4" thick (excluding photos), you're going way overboard. Have mercy on your poor girl, don't make her tote anything to that interview she doesn't have to. If you send her a set of the encyclopedia relationshipia, she's going to freak. ;)

LOL Congrats Sivad and I know exactly what you are talking about. Oksana has printed our entire chat history and I think that there are a few acres of forest that need replanting. We are close to 2500 pages. I think she is planning on only taking a couple of pages from each month. No call history as we have done everything on Skype, maybe not EVERYTHING, but all of our communications. ;)

Again Congratulations and good luck at the interview.

Dave

Vika brought a load of the ####### discussed above - but no one even looked at it. I went to the interview, and they looked at a few pics sent earlier, that was mostly it. There was some interest in my tax return and W-2 also, but we lugged two binders of stuff for nothing. Make the evidence as light as possible - you will be happy about it later.

I agree with Mox and Brad, make the evidence of continuing relationship light. A few letters back and forth over the period are sufficient. There are numerous items that prove ongoing relationship such as phone records, postal records of gifts sent, travel documents, money transfers (usually towards the end) and of course, physical presence at the interview. I would say if the fiance is attending the interview, that's pretty compelling evidence.

You will find that the state department staff is pretty good at recognizing relationships. They are overall a lot easier to deal with than USCIS.

Couple more points: a single postal letter is worth more than 200 pages of chat logs. And they're only looking for evidence of an ongoing relationship, not that you are completely loopy about each other. :) They're only going to take a harder look at your evidence if something doesn't add up otherwise. I.e., if she's overstayed a visa in the past for example. Otherwise simple is better, and easier for the future Mrs. to lug around Moscow.

I used an email log that listed all emails (maybe you can do the same with chats) and printed 4 sample emails each. W enever used "chats" to communicate except those expensive ones by phone.
