Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I opened up my email and got the notice that my application has been approved as of Jan 22!! NOA2 is on the way!! Not sure what happens next but I know this is very good for us!! Yeahhhhh....hang in there guys...I guess I am heading to NVC now!

PCCs are required for every place you've lived in for more than 6 months after the age of 16. It doesn't matter if you were visiting.

Hi Sachinky, are you sure about the PCC?? I am going to be crazy then....I spent 8 years in 7 states of India!!!!......Currently I am in Kochi (Kerala) and I got PCC from RPO Kochi and also PCC from Commissioner of Police, Kochi....If this is not the case then I am blind how to proceed .....U can refer the trailing links

I had not been touched since the day they mailed out my NOA1...Then Bam...Sunday night I check email and there it is...so it literally came out of nowhere. I guess after Christmas break they are hitting September filers hard! I'd bet most all September filers should find something out soon! I was a little worried as I am not using a lawyer..I am processing all this myself with the help of google and of course my fellow VJ members! Thanks guys for all your help!

That is totally wrong about PCC from every place in India. I talked to a few people on here who got their visas from Chennai consulate and only local PCC and passport office pcc is needed for India. However, If you lived abroad then I am not sure. Search for India PCC on VJ and you will find more experiences from people who have gotten their visas. To be on the safe side you might want to call the consulate and double check.

9/25/2009: NOA1 received for I-129F (receipt of mail)

01/15/2010 : Embassy gets the approval notice (Awesome..Love K3...so glad we have done K3)

No, I meant that for Mike.

For India, the PCC is only for your current place of residence and your regional passport office that issued your current valid passport. So 2 PCCs for India.
