Frenzy.. Congrats on the wedding !!!! We didn't really get a wedding night either, but made up for it later :) Yes, I believe you are the last of our group to get married!

Krystal.. COngrats on the GC and Kayla congrats on the notification that yours is coming. What about Karen? What about A &D? Any news on them yet?

I should have posted to you all more than a week ago, but for some reason I thougth I already had. Now I realize I didn't. The CT Scan showed everythign is clear. As far as my doctor is concerned I am cancer free!! Now I will just have follow up visits with him every two months for a year. He says the 5 year survival rate for someone with my outcome is 90% ... I'll take it!!!

I started to cry when we left the doctors office.. no one can really understand unless they've been through it, but essentially I was just given my life back.

Thank GOD it's all over and we can start our normal life now!! Now we just pray that little 10% doesn't creep back in somewhere ! I'm determined that it won't.

The hair is starting to grow back.. soon I should be able to at least look like I have a Jamie Curtis haircut instead of looking like I have cancer. :):) Hey.. at least I have hair now.

HOpe you all have a great weekend.

Oh Jenn that's just about the best news ever! I'm so happy to hear that I could cry!

And you'll be happy to know that Richmond is now back in the running. I withdrew from the job in Lexington because Mathew just wasn't finding enough jobs there. So he's looking for stuff in Richmond and Cleveland. So I guess we'll see!

His GC came in the mail today. Pretty snazzy looking. The date on the card says 10-6, but the notice that came with it was 10-10 so I guess we were updated later than what we should have been. It was probably already in the mail when we were notified that he was approved. But at least we got it!

HEY CONGRATS ON THE GC! Now, what is up with A & D and Karen? We know Frenzy won't have it yet ( looks like she's choosing to be last with everything :) ) Ladies? Any news yet.

Kayla that is great that Richmond is back in the running. Guess what.. I lived in Cleveland for 13 years. I moved here from there. Just what exactly does Matthew do? You never know, I may have some connections! Let me know!

Well, I am back in the game as far as my business trips are concerned. My doctor cleared me for travel, so.... My first trip is in 3 days.. goign to the Philippines ( and yes taking Fuat with me). 7 months ago he had never been out of Turkey, now he's taking business trips to Manila :):)

I am a little worried about it, because my energy level is sooooo low... but we'll see how my body handles the time change and 22 hours traveling time. At least Fuat will be there with me if I have a hard time and I can always have him do the interviews with the students if I am too exhausted.

If this trip doesn't do me in, then we are going to try to go to Turkey the week before Thanksgiving. Surprise his family. The day after we get back from Turkey, my mom will come for Thanksgiving and then 3 days after she leaves... it's off to Singapore. A week after we return from Singapore, it's time to head to Michigan for Christmas and then fly out to Vegas to spend New Years with my Dad.

Let's hope my body can handle the travling. Fuat is so excited about all these trips that I don't want to have to decide it's just too much for me right now.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Mathew is an Engineer he does like embedded systems designing the hardware and stuff that makes things work. In Canada he worked for the CAE, a company that builds military planes for other countries. He worked on the GPS and systems for it, and apparently did a great job, they hired him on as an actual employee after his co-op and wanted him to stay on instead of move to America. But love won, I guess!!

I think you'll do fine traveling. You may be a little tired at first, but all of the excitement from traveling with Fuat for the first time and being able to do the things you used to will kick in and you'll get your second wind. :) And if not, I'll drink some red bull for you and send you the wings. LOL

We know Frenzy won't have it yet ( looks like she's choosing to be last with everything :) )

We tried to get a loan to cover the costs so we can do AOS now, at least until we got the money in January, but unfortunately, it would seem that I have the crappiest credit known to mankind. I don't have any credit cards or anything like that, but yet my credit sucks too much and I'm too new to my job for anyone to trust it. *sigh* So we're stuck waiting until January. I don't like this whole non-status thing with him. I'm so worried he'll get deported or something.

I'm using my phone to reply so I can't multiquote.

Jenn, I am very happy to hear you say you've won this battle, it brought tears to my eyes :)

My advice on the traveling? See how things pan our first, keep in mind that you haven't been active in months and the last thing you want to do is over work your body with all this sudden activeness (is that even a word??)

Me and Glenoi are going to Florida Friday and we've never traveled together before so I know the excitement that Fuat is feeling. Stay safe and try to check in with us from time to time.

Kayla, congrats on the gc and I'm sure you're ecstatic to be immigration free for another 21 months!

Frenzy, don't get a headache over aos, it will happen and don't worry about him being deported, not going to happen!

Goodnight ladies ;)

hey guys,

congrats on the green cards krystle & kayla! Frenzyheart congrats on the marriage!

and most of all, Jenn - CONGRATS!!!!! on the clean bill of health!! We are all so happy to hear that.

we're still stuck in limbo here waiting for the green card. but it's okay. We were planning a trip for december that would have required a green card, but since we haven't received it yet we decided not to take any chances and go elsewhere instead. So, we're headed to the Dominican Republic for a week in Dec! We're soooo excited because we need a break and neither of us have been there before. Then for New Years' we're headed back to Ecuador for a few days. But oh my god the plane tix are expensive during the holidays!!

miss you all, and glad folks are doing well!

:)

Oh my goodness! So, apparently, Matt's parents are going to help us with AOS so we can get it done sooner than January! :o I have a little question for you ladies - did you apply for his AOS in your maiden name, or did you wait until your last name was changed to file it? I haven't glanced at the application yet, but am just assuming that my information will need to be on there, too, so I was wondering. We're actually still waiting for our marriage license to show up from New York (and our wedding pictures, too!!! GRRRR!) so we can't really do anything until that decides to get here. I'm hoping it will show up this week; they said 2 weeks. If it's not here by next Monday then I fully intend on contacting Niagara Falls city hall and finding out what's going on.

I hope you all are doing well!

Go ahead and apply in your married name. Your marriage certificate is good enough to justify the name change issue on the forms. Lots of people have done it that way with no problems!

Frenzy you can do either one, married or maiden name, doesn't matter.

Me and Glenoi spent 3 wonderful days in sunny Florida, we didn't much because there wasn't that much time but now that I'm back I value those 3 days even more. We went shopping, slept, went to a gator show where I actually sat on the gator and we just had fun!!

Now time to get back to work, quit the bull and save to get our own place. My family's house is huge but my sister's 3 kids and my small closet is freaking me out and pushing me to the edge of my sanity.

I hope is everyone is ok :)

Well Mathew got his first nibble on a job yesterday. And surprisingly enough the job is in Lexington. I could have died when I saw that. After we've already given up that house and the job I applied for there that's the first place he gets contacted from. :( Oh well, everything happens for a reason and there's no guarantee that this is it. But $55k a year is a good place to start. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Florida Krystle, I can't wait to actually get to take some time away. I'm in total envy right now. And trust me, I'm feeling you about the getting your own place thing. :bonk:
