I'm finishing up the paperwork for the package and was wondering the best way to put it together. For example, should I put the evidence of having met and photos in an envelope. How should it all be organized? Any advise on this would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Gabe

Start HERE (to be sure you have everything)

then

HERE for General Assembly Tips (How to put it all together)

(It's all laid out - no real need to re-list everything in a thread.)

Thanks for the quick reply it is helpful. But I was hoping for a little more specific advise. How should the photos used as supporting have met be included? Attached on a bag to a paper like the passport photos?

Thanks again!

Two possible methods.

1) Plastic bag as you described

2) Print/copy several of them to a single sheet of paper (multiple sheets if more than a few photos); We sent about 6 photos on two sheets of paper (for example).

Since most of our photos were in digital format on our hard drive, I just inserted a few photos per page in MS Word. I even added a catpion on each photo. Then I printed the pages on 8 1/2 x 11 pages so it fit nicely in the folder.

As an added note, I didn't like dealing with punching holes in everything or the look of the binders that held the punched papers, so I found at Staples a punchless binder. It had a clear cover and when the packet was complete, it looked quite neat, orderly, and slick!

I did the same, inserted in MS Word.

Most important is to make sure everything gets in the envelope. USCIS will disassemble whatever you send them and put it into their own file and shortly after arriving your file will look exactly the same as everyone else's. If you want to protect the photos in plastic, why not? I paper clipped the appropriate copies together and attached the whole thing with a binder clip.

Hello, I'm sorry if I'll be making anyone repeat themselves, but I am assembling the I-129F package aswell, and I'd just like it clarified for better understanding, that literally all I need to send is 1-14, listed on this website. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

I have the check, the cover letter, the I-129F form, declaration of meeting, two statements, proof of meeting, G-325A filled by both of us, passport type photos of both of us, a copy of my birth certificate...

Is this literally all I need to send it out?

If there is anything else, please let me know.

Also, is a manila envelope okay to send everything in once it's put together?

Sorry if this is had been asked, I'm new to this website, and this is my first time ever filing anything of the sort.

Any help will be appreciated. (L)

Three-year-old thread is being closed. The most recent poster can find multiple threads on the subject, and read the Guides (links atop any VJ page).

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
