You should call NVC on Monday and check what they want, but my opinion they want yours AOS package maybe it is not have been processed yet I have the same problem but with my DS230 I sent it on October 19 and it is not yet in the system

Yes, seems like they are looking for the AOS package, if you already sent it... Then they have just not processed it yet...

Congrats on Case complete! How did you find out that your case was sent to consulate? from the operator?

As a CR1/IR the file is not forwarded to the embassy UNTIL an interview is assigned... K3 is sent to the embassy as are expedite requests... Must be an error on the timeline...

If you dont have an interview, your case was not sent to the embassy!!! Cases are NOT sent to the embassy without an interview... Once the interview is assigned, THEN they are forwarded... But its' free to call

In reference to the email of case sent to the embassy, Feliz you could have just asked that question in the log instead of just sending privately to my email and again to relate to that question that was asked, I was going by what the OP said in my confirmation of case complete, now if it actually was sent there I have no idea but that is exactly what I was told. But knowing that just as everyone else who is waiting on their interview is what is most important. Praying for everyone else waiting and God bless!

The way I always understood it, and how NVC incessantly repeated to me when I called them DAILY about forwarding my case to Naples, is that the case is not forwarded until an interview is assigned... Perhaps Senegal is different, but for 99% of the folks here, it will be NVC schedules interview then forward to consulate...

Mine sat at NVC for 10 days AFTER interview was assigned till they sent it it to the embassy... Which really ticked me off since they have earlier openings but could not do anything until they received the case!!!

If for some reason you got lucky or they did something different... Congrats.. I think it is a BIG advantage to get out of NVC's hands ASAP!!! Good luck to all

There are 2 types of embassys, appointed ones, that is where the embassy will tell NVC the interview date, then NVC forwards your case to them, and then there are the Non Appointed embassys, that is where the embassy sets interview dates.

Appointed embassys gets your case only AFTER NVC gives you the interview date.

When it is a Non Appointed embassy, NVC forwards your case after case completition.And embassy gives you the interview date.

best wishes for those of you who are waiting for " case complete" and all the rest who are still on the journey like my self ,, hopefully this whole thing will be over soon,, i am wating for the second week of nov seems far away , am not calling nvc any more i am tired of calling them ,

LOL, I know what you mean by you are tired of calling them. They never give a best answer. I am sure you will make it on the December interview, don't worry. I will pray for ya!

Everything's going on good Lily. Hopefully I will have sent the AOS package by next week. I have learnt to just relax and not worry about it, because it isn't under my control to change things, in a way it all depends on luck. I have done my part now its upto God what He can do for us. Anyway don't worry so much, I know you would have loved to have a November interview date, sorry you have had to wait so long. Just be happy your case is complete. Take Care.

hey everyone, I haven't been on much since I have been avoiding thinking about the case too much- everything has been sent an the AOS packet will be delivered on Monday by FedEx...It good to hear how so many people have moved further in their case..

I got a false RFE regarding the AOS packet so I am not worried at all... Just hanging in now and waiting for the magical log in failure

OK... I looked it up on the State Department website... Here is what it says

For certain U.S. Embassies and Consulates General, the National Visa Center (NVC) provides additional document collection and review, and schedules the cases for interview. The Department of State refers to these embassies and consulates as Appointment Posts.

For immigrant visa cases assigned to an Appointment Post, the NVC will collect the fees, affidavit of support, civil documents and police certificates, as required. When the case is complete, NVC will schedule an appointment for an interview with a consular officer. At the time the appointment is scheduled, the NVC will send an appointment letter to all interested parties (applicant, petitioner, and agent/attorney of record, if applicable) notifying them of the date, time, and location of the interview; and forward the petition to the appropriate embassy/consulate.

Thank you Paris and Christeen for your responses I appreciate, but I was not the one asking whether or not they had received my case or not I was only answering Feliz who apparently sent me a private email asking how did I find out . She wanted to know was it by DHL or NVC. Again, I was responding to her based on what the OP said to me. Whether or not it went there I have no idea, maybe the OP didn't explain correctly or maybe didn't know herself?? really doesn't matter as long as some point and prayerfully soon we get our interview. All I could tell her was what she told me , I am just thankful by the grace of God that my case and many others are complete . To God be the glory!!

No, I realize it was not your original question... But I do hope that everyone gets interviews assigned and that they do an end of month scheduling since proportionally, there seem to be a BUNCH of people with case complete waiting for interviews.... Good luck on getting an assignment soon!!! Regardless of who schedules it...
