Here's what I do when I want to talk with them. Call the number you just gave then..

Press 1 for English

Press 2 for the next series of questions

Press 3 when he says "If you not have a receipt number.." or something like that

after you press 3, they say something about how you must be the petitioner, or the petitioner must be in the room. after that recording, the phone will ring and you should get a person.

The real person probably won't help you much at all either, but that's another story

the number is correct...you just have to be patient, sometimes you get a person right away, sometimes you have to wait for a very long time. are you going to ask a general question or need to change information about your application or need to know the status of your case? listen to all the options and try each one. have your case # ready too at all times. good luck and god bless!

Hey jarl,

After you dialed the 1-800# and hear the 'automated voice' press 123 right away it will put you through to a 'live person'.Good luck.
