Hi Everyone. Hope you are all doing well with your visa process's.

I was just about to send off my I 485 Form, Luckily for me i always check VJ before i post anything, it seems if i didnt, i would probably be missing half of my paperwork lol.

anyway, I am just gathering the information now. After some initial panic thinking i didnt have what they needed, all is well now, but i just have a couple of questions that i cant seem to find the answers for in other topics.

the affidavit f support that i need to attach to the AOS, Can someone tell me why it is a different longer one? The last one my husband signed was only 2 pages. and do i need to fill it out or him??

While going over the pages of information and instructions that come with the I 485, On page 8 it gives address' that one should send the forms to, BUT then i read at the bottom of the checklist here on VJ that everything should be posted to a place in chicago, and nothing should be sent to the local uscis office, so should i send both the I 485 AND the I 765 .

This is really confusing. If someone could put me on the right track i would really appreciate it. There is so much to get through, my brain is fried!!

Thanks in advance guys. <3 <3

A new affidavit needs to be prepared (I-864). Why? it is the rules.

Send the I-485 and supporting evidence and the I-765 in the same envelope to the Chicago I-485 lockbox address.

YMMV

hello, yeah i know its really confusing, just atke your time to fill em out and its gonna be fine.

About the I-864 Affidavit of Support, yes your husband need to fill that out and sign it and if you need a joint sponsor then he or she needs to fill it out and sign it, there's 8 pages for the I-864, i have no idea why its longer but just fill em out hehe.

Oh and about the address you need to send those forms to, i sent all of mine to the Chicago lockbox office, i never sent any of the forms to the USCIS local office. You can file your I-765 separately after you have NOA1 from your I-485, but that would be even more work so its alot better to file em all together and send them to Chicago office.

Hope it helps, good luck

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

Because the first one at the consulate was the I-134 and this one is the I-864 different documents. He needs to fill it out, HE is the sponsor.

The different addresses are for different types of visa, yours should go to the Chicago lockbox address.

Good Luck on you Journey!
