how did this go from healthcare to guns, church, dildos, & dicks out of the zipper?

I wish I'd been more involved in that transition.

I don't trust a civilian with an open gun walking inside Chucky Cheeze, Disney World, McDonalds, or any place. Everyone will take a step back when they see it, and say "whoa buddy."

A gun out in the open is honest to god intimidating because how can you trust strangers, other than yourself with the gun.

guess you need to get out more. i've seen open carry and even noticed some concealed firearms while living in/ visiting more than one state. these were seen in grocery/hardware/convenience, other retail, office buildings, etc. it wasn't a big deal and the other people around didn't make a big deal of it either.

now you're comment about .... "Everyone will take a step back when they see it, and say "whoa buddy."" ... you speak for everyone now?

Place your bets. Move anywhere here and I will 100% garuntee you that everyone's attitude is "better not get that person excited."

Anyway, you haven't been in the big cities much. Nor have you brought a gun into disney world out in the open. If you say as you say, I will give you all my life savings if you can bring a gun out in the open near an amusement park. "You haven't been out much?" Ridiculous.

you too need to research where guns can be legally carried or not.

a private business can forbid the carry of firearms - concealed or open - on their property.

outside the amusement isn't part of the park....it's not against the law...but, you will get the "don't get that guy excited, stay away from him"

outside as in where? the parking lot? that's still part of the park ;)

general rule of thumb for those that don't know much about this topic: if it's state or federal property, the state or fed will set the rules for carry on those grounds - for example: forbidden on military reservations, on school grounds or within a certain distance of it, and so on. if private property, it's up to the owner to allow or disallow. in most states, the state extends the prohibition of carry (concealed or not) to places that serve alcohol.

a church and most other businesses are private property. it is up to the owners to disallow carry by posting the required signs that forbid concealed carry.

natty, feel free to add to the above.

you think i'm stupid for saying the parking lot is not owned by the amusement....outside as in 150 feet away from it's vicinity....

you need to think logically for me....parking lots are owned by the parks, it's a given....atleast do something considerate when debating with me

you need to think logically for me....parking lots are owned by the parks, it's a given....atleast do something considerate when debating with me

i'm pointing that out for the reason that just because one isn't IN the park that does not mean they are not on park property. the nearest park to me that comes to mind is worlds of fun - the parking lot is right up against the gate. however, the ground owned by the park extends well past that parking lot (probably for any future expansion) by well over 300 yards. so in essence, one would just about need to be a surveyor to insure they are not on private property. the best choice in the above situation is to assume that getting off of the nearby public roads puts one on private property.

two things i'm most aware of when i carry (which is very rare, btw) - my surroundings and whether i'm on private, public, state, or federal property.

I wonder how certain Federal personnel fit into that radius of permissibility.

i'm talking private citizens - not military or otherwise related.

you've still got lots to learn. you're getting there so no harm/foul.

public vs private property. this is a huge difference.

liability by forbidding self protection is also a huge issue.

think about this.

in a shall-issue state ... company forbids CCW ... at that moment .. the company assumes responsibity for protection of its patrons. who is ultimately responsible for self protection? the individual or 911? .... it's the individual.

church ... synagog ... temple .. mosque. who cares.

people want to protect themselves and their family.

or are you one of the call 911 and die crowd?
