So, when an ever larger portion of the earned "achievement" goes towards passive income then everything starts to stagnate, right? I mean, why would people continue to improve and innovate if the rewards are mainly reaped by those that haven't lifted a finger?

Well they have been circulating for some time. Even those calling for a more slow approach to discussing this agreed that the bills should have been looked at more carefully. It really isn't that hard to go through 1000 pages ya know- in the time that's passed since we've been seeing very hysterical and irrational fearmongering at work, some of the less hysterical could have exercised their brains a bit and done the recommended 30 minutes of reading a day.
