Some general questions about how to file the K1 visa since I have seen some sites say you need these things and others not.

1. How to send the packet? Do I need to submit it in a folder as indicated on this website? As well as put holes in the paper? Should I treat this as a report for school, put cover pages in each section and put tabs on the sides as well as a table of contents?

2. Do I need a color photo copy of my passport and include each page of the passport?

3. How many copies should I send of form G235A? I have seen some say 4, some say 2, some say 1.

4. I have to submit to Vermont, I heard they are slow but I can have it switched over to California so it would be processed quicker once it arrives in Vermont, do you recommend this and how do you have it switched over? My fiance has already sent me her letter that goes with the forms and it has the Vermont address on there.

On the instructions of each form they will tell you how and where to file your petition to. You don't have to submit it in a folder, they suggest it because it's more organized, same for the holes. We added cover letter and table of contents but again that's optional, it's always good to make their job easy so they will be happy with you :)

2. Do I need a color photo copy of my passport and include each page of the passport? The copies in our petition were colored but I don't think that's a requirement. Yes, all pages.

3. How many copies should I send of form G235A? I have seen some say 4, some say 2, some say 1. The new G-325A form only has one page. If the one you downloaded has 4 pages, then send the 4 pages (all signed). If if you happen to print the new version, then I suppose there'll only be 1 page for you to send.

4. I have to submit to Vermont, I heard they are slow but I can have it switched over to California so it would be processed quicker once it arrives in Vermont, do you recommend this and how do you have it switched over? My fiance has already sent me her letter that goes with the forms and it has the Vermont address on there. On the instructions they say which States can send their petitions to either California or Vermont. If your jurisdiction is Vermont, then i'm afraid that's where you are supposed to mail your petition to. For example: when we filed our I-129F Petition, California was way faster than Vermont. But my fiance lives in Georgia, so we had no choice but to mail our petition to Vermont.

Good luck and :guides:

1. You do not need to submit it in a folder. You should submit it with a cover letter which orders the document's behind it but definatly not tabulated. They will put it in the order and into a file when it gets there, just focus on including all the required documents.

2. Color is not required, you should include all pages that have a stamp on them.

3. Depends on what edition you are using, if it's the 4 page edition send it, if it's the new version you only need one copy.

4. You don't get to pick and choose the service center, if you are to file with Vermont than that is where you file. Sometimes Vermont and California will shift their overflow to another service center to help keep them even but you personally cannot make that request.

You can move to another state from which one would file to California.
