Don't worry about it. No where did I insult the 47million uninsured.

If i call someone a lib, its short for liberal. Many people like to call themselves liberal. Many liberals are also openly socialist and have no problem with that. I don't see how those terms are insults, but I will accept it and not use those terms anymore. I've been called Neo-con, right-winger, and a few other things in Private messages today - including Dweeb, little ##$%@, and a few other words as well. I didn't mention them before because they don't need mentioning. Anyway - oh well.

No I just don't think sugarcoating reality is appropriate- particularly when there IS a health care crisis in this country.

Hate to break it to you... but seriously... in the awful scenario that you become unemployed... what will you do about your medical insurance? Sure... you can probably go without it, but remember that life has a very mysterious way of paying us back when we tempt fate.

How did we ever make it through the 1800's. When did it start?

Life expectancy was 37. Go figure.

What is it now 72? I guess we agree then there isnt a crisis.

I don't know what i'll do for insurance. I never said i was against insurance for the unemployed, I just don't want it mandated across the board.

And therein is the truth:

If you are happy with your present insurer... keep 'em. ;)

The more truthful and factual way would be to call it the Manufactured health care crisis.

Yeah. All those manufactured bankruptcies. Please make it all go away.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Sure. The GOP should stay with the "What crisis?" strategy and see how effective it will be.

I really dont think Joseph wants or cares to be a champion of victimhood.

They are terms that have developed negative connotations, so I do believe you meant them as insults. Based on your posts I would describe your views as far right & you actually agreed with me. Far right & far left views are by definition not mainstream & they are dangerously close to being extremist, so (justly or unjustly) you will be associated with the neocons or perhaps even hate groups. Personally I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for the far right/left because IMO they are responsible for the lion's share of the polarization that you see in politics & with many Americans today. At the same time I try very hard to refrain from associating them with the extremist groups. Basically it's a balancing act of denouncing the rhetoric but at the same time not adding to it.

Steve are you paranoid? Its not a right wing strategy, its a fact. However the "crisis" is a left wing strategy based on fear mongering.

Kinda like the clinton admin. telling old ppl the repubs wanted to feed them dog food. Sound familiar?

They seriously SHOULD. Grow some balls and tell the uninsured and the insured *that can now apparently miraculously afford treatment after all limits are met* to just pay up or stfu. You know, because the alternative is to have all of us paying for our lazy neighbors' coverage.

So if its to expensive for all of us, how are all of us together going to be able to afford it? and that doesnt include that well oiled government beaurocracy.

Huge deficits for the rest of our lives.

Yes exactly, but you dont have to turn the system on its head to acheive that. If all insurance providers could sell in all states would also help.

Why in the name of God should your health care be tied to your employment?

Why should your employer be responsible for your health care? He already pays your other bills.

Funny- I thought Wal-Mart was reducing competition by absorbing the market. I don't think my previous post was very well read (not by you).

Not a bad idea to allow insurance companies to cross state lines.

What you will end up with, eventually, though, is one or two giants.

Wal-Mart-like, you know?
