SCHULTZ (Tuesday 11 August 2009 - 01:42): It's almost as if every one of these town hall meetings is turning into "The Jerry Springer Show". And there are many Americans right now who are starting to fear for the safety of the president of the United States. All over health reform. Folks, these people are psycho, that's what they are.

SCHULTZ (04:53): Sometimes I think they want Obama to get shot. I do! I really think that there are conservative broadcasters in this country who would love to see Obama taken out. They *fear* socialism, they fear Marxism. They fear that the United States of America won't be the United States of America anymore.

I wonder if we'll ever see as many depictions of Obama getting assassinated in movies and TV as we did with Bush?

There are always nuts who would shoot any president just to become infamous and political commentators love to have a president to bash but there's nothing to indicate they want to kill the goose that lays the golden egg. Obama is a dream come true for ratings as a celebrity prez with an almost cultlike following starts to lose his approval ratings and drags his party down for midterm elections.

I listen to the Ed Schultz Show on Progressive talk radio, and they're way over the top. Just as extreme as Limbaugh.
