I beleive there is a form you can file for duplicate but it will cost you more than $300 from memory but could be wrong. We didn't cos we had trouble getting the call center staff to accept we were approved and they never sent it in the first place.

The actual visa should also have printed on it "PETITION APPROVED BY USCIS (EAC or WAC) and the DATE

It's totally weird that they want that document anyway. They're the USCIS...don't they know if they approved or not?? Bureaucratic red tape. Arghhhh!

twats!! sorry but what the hell is wrong with them.. im sooo stressed out about all this.. i am waiting for a call back from the lawyer to see if she has it.. and also to see if the hus found it at his momas house.. just incase she didnt shred it

I wouldn't worry about it. I would just stick a note where you would put the NOA2 saying it was lost but you included emails notifying you of approval and a photocopy of the visa indicating the approval, the service center, and date. Then with a big red sharpie circle the petition approval line on that photocopy. Surely they can deal with that and you probably won't hear a complaint from them about it. l'd give it a try before you pay $300+ for a replacement.
