Calling NVC regarding K3 status

I didn't get anything yet from the NVC regarding my K3. I did receive my NVC case # and instructions to send $470 to them for the visa processing. Im thinking of calling them to find out status for my K3 petition. If they received it or not. What info I need to have before calling them. Do they assign different NVC case number to green card and k3 petitions? Do I need receipt number from NOA2?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers

You can use your USCIS receipt # when calling and then they will give you a new NVC case number, if they have received the cases from USCIS.

Yes, there is a different case # assigned to each petition (129 and 130)

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

What did you find out when you called NVC? Come on - it's been a few months now...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
