I just receive a bigg Job offer in the US, however our appointment for the I-130 filling is only in October (montreal consulat).

Should I file a TN and adjust status after or Just ask my wife to File for I-130 at the consulat as plan and get stuck in the US until the interview date? I know if the I-130 is denied I am stuck back in Canada.... Or is there any way to do it while in the US and my wife in Canada.. My wife is the US citizen.

There must be a way to do this without loosing anything!

TN is fine but I prefer to get my permanent residency.

thanks

Girard

I know a little about TN visas, what classification are you going to apply under? What is your job?

I only ask because the TN visas, in light of the current economic situation in the US, are regularly being denied. Plus, TN visas are non-immigrant visas, generally having to prove you do not intend to stay in the US (which is what I had to do when I applied for mine) - which is actually what you intend to do so you might run into problems then if it comes to light that you used your TN non immigrant visa to move to the US to be with your wife.

You have your interview in October for the Cr-1? Is that correct? When does the job begin?
