:help:

Hi All,

My husband is a Ghanaian citizen who works and currently resides outside Ghana. He is currently in Cyprus right now playing football. (I also posted this in other forums just to get as much info as possible)

When it comes time for him do his medical exam for the K3 visa, can he do the medical exam in Cyprus or will it have to be in Ghana, which means he will have to fly home just to do the medical examination?

My other question once he gets the medical examination done, is he give the results to give to embassy or is it sent straight to the embassy?

Thank you in advance for all your help with my inquiries.

well I am not sure about where he is, but for me in Canada there is only a few doctors chosen for this exam you cannot go to any doctor and your nearest one may be close or may not :) hope this helps

No matter where he gets his physical done, it will have to be done by a doctor/hospital approved by the US Consulate in that country. That information will be provided in Packet three, but it will be for Ghana. In order to get it done in Cyprus, you would have to contact which ever US Consulate has jurisdiction there.

When the medical is completed, it will be given to your husband in a sealed envelope, which he will take with him to his interview.

To save problems, you might want to stick with getting the medical done in Ghana.

Where did you marry, and are you certain you will follow the K-3? The K-3 visa must be issued in the country where the marriage took place (or the country of normal residence if the marriage happened in the US).

The medical attached to the K-3 visa has to be done by the panel doc in the country where the visa will be issued.

How the medical results are distributed varies by country.
