My case was completed on the 28th of July in Australia. The entire process took 11 months from start to finish. I arrived here in the United States yesterday and had no problems with immigration at the airport. I'm now here with my wife and will get a social security number and green card in the next 12 weeks.

To all the couples going through this long process, all I can say is be patient, make sure you provide all documentation.

Above all, stay positive and focused, don't let the waiting come between you and your loved one. Remember, your doing this so you can be together.

This site has been very helpful informing people on the different processes involved and answering questions relating to problems that may arise.

Good luck to you all.

Congrats! We all know that feeling! As a side note, if you haven't received your SSN in 3 weeks, take your passport and welcome letter and go to your local SSA office. They forgot to issue one to my husband, even though we requested one, so we went down and got one issued the very same day. The GC arrived exactly one month after his arrival (he just got it Monday :)
