So, my UK citizen fiance says its a terrible idea to get on Job seekers allowance in order to get a job, because it would make him look bad and get him turned down for the K-1 Visa at the interview. I make enough money to support us both, and he's not going to go on unemployment in the US when he gets here, but should he stay home and not work? He says going on Job Seeker's is the fastest and best way to get a job in England, and its almost impossible for him to find work without being able to go to the job centre. I don't understand this whole thing. Would he really get denied for being on job-seekers?

will no hurt his interview. Most if not all are unemployed when they come here.

His employment situation as the intending immigrant has nothing to do with the K-1 visa process. They don't ask. Other than listing his employment history on the G-325a they couldn't possibly care less.
