Hey all,

got a question here. I'm the non-US beneficiary, and my fiancee and I are currently going through the entire K-1 process.

Everything's going good so far, but now I need some advice.

I'm currently sharing a house with a roommate who will be moving out instead of getting a new roomie when I leave. He already found something and will be living there starting the first of September.

He kindly offered me a small spare bedroom in his new place where I could sleep for the time being untill my visa is ready.

Now how do I need to have my local residency adjusted on the papwerwork when it arrives here? Clearly I will not be living on the same address as I used to when we filed for the K-1.

Mailforwarding won't be a problem.

Any advice is kindly appreciated.

Karin moved too (right after the NOA2 was issued) - I imagine a lot of people do. Once we had the new case number from NVC - she contacted the Consulate to notify them where to send the packets.

This is what I'd suggest you do as well - you'll need to wait until the case number because the Embassy/Consulate probably won't know what to do with the information until they match it up with this (new) number.

Ah, so best to wait for an NVC casenumber (which should be arriving soon) and then contact the Embassy here for an update on address.

Excellent, thanks for the advice.

When I moved, 3 times. lol We didn't had to change the adress at all. Because the people from the service centers don't send you anything. The Embassy or Consulate, w/e in your country does. As for Holland, We sign in on a adress so they automatically send the packet to that adress where we are signed in. Don't know about other countries

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.
