Assembling the I-130 Package: Checklist .......

......Again, I had to filled the I-130 because I was already in the USA when I did AOS. Maybe this why.

The original poster in this thread is a K1 and does not fill out the I-130. The biographical info on the USC was covered in the original petition (I129f) to get the visa, as well as relationship evidence. I agree with Nicoxcx that this round for a K1 is all about the intending immigrant with only financial info from the USC. And she's posted my list which I stand by.

I think it's more organized to separate the 3 applications (AOS/EAD/AP) and put the needed supporting documents behind each one with a paperclip or clamp. You will end up with 3 bundles, one cover letter on top with payment attached by paperclip, and mail all together in one large envelope or Priority Mail sleeve. If you sent it all mixed together like one application, don't worry. A contractor in the mail room will sort it and route to the proper destinations.

I don't think you should submit documents that are not asked in this stage:

This is what I did for my COVER LETTER-- although our civil ceremony is Monday, it doesn't hurt to get an early start:

Nature of the submission: I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

To Whom It May Concern:

Enclosed please find my Form I-485, Fee of $930 + Biometrics Fee $80, I-693 Form, I-693A, I-864, I-765, and I-131, application to register for permanent residence adjust status after entry on K1 Visa.

Contents include:

- Copy of Hwang’s U.S. Entry Passport, first page (bio) + U.S. Entry Stamp Page.

- Copy of Hwang’s K1 Visa page from passport

- Copy of Hwang’s I94 (Front & Back)

- Copy of K1 Visa Approval Notice of Action from USCIS for petition I129.

- Copy of Birth Certificate-(Hwang) with English Translation

- Copy of Marriage Certificate

- G325A (Hwang)

- 2 passport photos attached with name written on the back side.

- I-693 Medical examination form

- I-693A vaccination supplement

- I-864 Affidavit of Support

- I-864 Supporting Documents (tax return for 2006, 2007 and 2008), (Pay stubs +W2 for proof of income).

- I-765 Application for work permit

- I-131 Application for travel document

maybe a tip

in my cover letter we said

I am the petitioner xxx for my wife xxxx

enclosed documents

G325A (beneficiary)

G325A (applicant)

etc...

instead of repeating our names

imagine the guys who read that they are probably more at ease with beneficiary / applicant

I support everything said above. I came here on a K-1 visa, and already sent my AOS package. For our visa, you send all the info for the intending immigrant. And your spouse, USC, sends only financial info. Therefore, I wrote a cover letter from me, the intending immigrant, and signed it. It was not from my husband. Hope it helps. It looks good and you are good to go.

About the G-325a of the USC, it's not from the Op, but I just want to include on my questions because some people mentioned that here,, thanks a lot :)

Thanks!

That's what I am going to do because I am confuse with photos. So I will separate the 3 application coz I read in every instruction that they need 2 photo in each application.

Anyway, I am thinking not to send my spouse's letter from the bank because his earnings is already above the poverty line for 2 of us.

I am thinking of sending the supporting documents coz I observe that some who send it together with the package didn't have interview instead they just received their green card. And yes, its better to send more that to receive RFE. Hehehehe....

Thanks again everyone for sharing your ideas!
