ANY CHEAP WAY TO CALL PHILIPPINES OR INDONESIA?

I talk to my fiancee on msn messenger video webchat for 45.95/month.

You can talk as long as you want for this price. And, if you get a webcam you can see each other.

You have to have internet, though

My MSN messenger with video and voice is free. I'm guessing you mean your internet connection is $45.95 a month?

Someone suggested www.mobilecaller.com, their sample rate to the Philippines is $0.10/minute.

I know they offer a decent rate to Russia but I have not tried their service yet, though I intend to on Thursday! =)

I used MobileCaller.com for a few months to call my fiancee. It was the best price I found to call both land and cell lines in Manila. Also very reliable and decent voice quality. Another nice feature is youu can have it auto-recharge and set how much and when you want it to do it. However, if you run down to zero balance while on the call it will still drop you even though your account is recharged. Not a big problem, just an FYI. :)

Another option is have them call you. When my fiancee found out I was paying about $10/hour to call her she started calling me. She got cards that cost 3 pesos per minute - about 1/3 of what I was paying to call her. :)

Married on 11/21/06 in her hometown city Tumauini located in the Isabela province (Republic of the Philippines)

Only thing I don't like about them is they charge 15% tax, .99 cents a week maintenence and they round up 3 minutes. Talkloop is 16.5 cents per minute, thats it no other charges( no I don't work for them LOL).

Try this, www.gorillamobile.com, if you do moble to mobile or phone to mobile. A friend that GF is in PI just turned me on to it I get a good connection resonable rate 27cents to VN; PI is 14 cents. Was useing T3 but more expensive and connection was always bad.

Other phone cards are much cheaper but no documentation on the phone calls i.e. proof you are calling each other for proof of the relationship

Can someone please tell me why you talk via telephone, especially to Asia?

My fiancee goes to an internet cafe and it costs her 50 cents per hour, or 0.8 cents per minute, and we get to look at each other.

I asked my long distance provider (QWEST) and they offered me unlimited calling for $4/month plus 16 cents/minute to the Philippines. Some calling cards might be cheaper, but you can't beat the convenience and reliability of an established long distance phone provider. Plus I get an itemized list of all calls I've made each month.

Many cafes are not open 24/7 and are subject to power outages.

Welcome to my world. A high phone billl made me realize there had to be an alternative. I found a service that cost me $59.99 per month. They sent her a Bag phone that she plugs in an electrical outlet. I can call unlimited to that phone. They set me up with a local access number here. (They have a list of local access numbers across the country, but if there isnt one in your area, they will set one up for you). You can call from any phone, not just your home land line like a VOIP service. She cant call me (there is another plan for that, but she can only call my residence through VOIP). I call her hours a day, literally. The other thing is sometimes she visits relatives and can take the phone and plug it in there also. The issue is, occasionally the system goes down. Thats not that frequent. Sometime when talking the call will drop and I just have to call back. I figure it is a small sacrifice to only pay $60/m to talk to her hours a day (literally). The phone cards were so expensive because of the frequency we talked. A website with more information is:

My fiance in the states sent me a Vonage Device. He pays $25 monthly for unlimited calling and works great! we can call each other as much as we want, anytime and everytime we want to talk to each other.

PLDT DSL gets disconnected sometimes but its ok. No more expensive phone cards!

we really suggest you send your fiancee's vonage if they have highspeed internet and start talking for as much as you want.. :)
