My mom will be here too! She is coming to visit on Aug 6-23 for my birthday :)

That's great Poprocks!! I know for me...might be a while before any of my family comes to see my new domain... :( My dad will never see it as he can't get medical insurance coverage for his ailment and age. :crying: Told him nothing better happen to him before I can get home again!!

Aww...I hope you get to see him soon...the travel insr thing gets really hard at this age...even at 55, i've had issues getting it for my mom.

I'm having a hard time with some of the timelines that are out there they are just too unrealistic ... but hey thats just me ... trying to decide what wait is better the wait for the green card and EAD or the wait for the K-1 ... at least with the K-1 i was still going to work everyday and doing my normal everyday routine but now waiting on the EAD it feels tougher i cannot work so i can't help contribute to the household and that makes me feel like a bum theres not a whole lot that helps keep my mind off of it. Stir-Crazy was about a month ago i don't know what to call this stage .. but i get to see my wife everyday. :) oh well happy waiting for those of us that still are :)

awww I can appreciate that. Even though I have a whole house to decorate, and a great yard to play in...I often wonder how I'll feel after about a month or so without contributing.

Hope everything comes quickly for you RYCK.

I'm going stir-crazy too RYCK. I'm just been applying for jobs in the meantime and telling them work permit is on its way. It could backfire on me, but I figure it can't hurt to try.

Last night my case got transferred to CSC!!!

I'm happy about that!

Mine was transferred too ... I'm still going to go into it thinking i'll need an interview so i'll be prepared for it. As for job seeking i'll wait till i get my EAD would be nothing worse than finding out someone wants to hire me and i'll have to say no then by the time i go back they already found someone for the spot .. i kinda don't wanna know

Congrats on the CSC transfers!!!! WOOHOO....hang in there guys, I hope it goes fast for ya :)

I'm on summer break with my son, so times been flying...plus the industry i'm in is not 9-5...so i'm already used to ging crazy lol....

Happycloud....for sure...once things settle down...they've got me driving to Dover for biometrics!

I have to go down to Dover for biometrics as well. I am thinking after my husband does that, we will just keep on going south and go to the beach for the rest of the day :) Make it worth the trip down. You will find there is nothing really exciting in Dover at all. The neatest thing there on the way to the beaches is the stadium for Nascar (just because it is so darn huge) and the Airforce base. Though if your son likes airplanes they do have an airplane museum (though I have never been there so I don't know how good it is).

It's definitely true that AOS applications are being processed fast - I just received an email from CRIS saying they've ordered production of my green card. Only took two months, no interview because my file went through CSC.

Just as an FYI - I only sent in a copy of the vaccination report from medical, I didn't have it re-transcribed. But I also didn't require Gardasil shots, not sure if that makes a difference.

Wishing you all speedy approvals on AP/EAD/AOS! And thanks to everyone for all the helpful advice and tips I found on this forum - couldn't have gotten through this process without you. I almost can't believe it will be, like, two years before I have to fill out and file and track any more paperwork. I feel like that's all I've been doing for the last year...

q&a - your aos timeline is very encouraging, wow, so quick. I am in the same boat except filed a month later, was transferred to csc and so far got my ead and ap approved.

The Lord is my strength and my shield,

My heart trusted in Him and I am helped,

therefore my heart greatly rejoices,

and with my song I will praise Him.

And to think I just checked my on line status 2 hours before and nothing! lol...

Well this is a turn around day for me, considering I was outside trying to put the sprinkler away by the water hose, and out fly 10 wasps and I got stung like 3 times :( lol...needless to say I am in severe pain, took a huge swing of Benadril but can't take meds...as I am headed to NYC Weds for potential back surgery :(

Can I be having a better week....do you see now how this transfer was nice news today? HAHA! :)

hope you get transferred too :)

i'm worried about getting a potential RFE for my son's file.... sent in only the Vaccination Suppliment...but my son was due for his next shot of Hep B (req'd for children), he actually got the second shot before we left Toronto, but it's not documented on what I sent in....maybe they will be ok with just the first shot he got? Maybe they will send it back and i'll have to get it transcribed and updated by that Surgeon General in Texas....anyone have his info just in case?

I'm not worried about AOS...I figure at some point I will get a GC lol... and i'm in no rush for AP as my mom is coming for a few weeks to see me...and EAD...well don't really need that either lol.... I worked the corporate hussle for so many years, i'm enjoying the change of pace...and taking time to write :)

eek, trying to make sure I have everything together for my interview friday morning :S It's montreal nerves all over again!

and we are going to have to leave so early. My interview is at 8:45 in Durham, which is about 1/2 hour away. But we will have to try and get through rush hour and I need time to get through security there. I have a feeling I won't be sleeping too much Thursday night. Luckily hubby has Fridays and Saturdays off, so it didn't disrupt work for him.

I am getting kinda low about finding a job though. I've had my EAD for a little over a month and I've put out at least 50 resumes and nothing :( What's worse is that I have a degree in Criminology which should be great...except most of it was Canadian law :( I have to learn federal and state law before I can do much in my field *sigh* Oh well, just hope for the best I guess :)

eek, trying to make sure I have everything together for my interview friday morning :S It's montreal nerves all over again!

and we are going to have to leave so early.

Good luck!! I'm sure the interview will be fine! I'm surprised that you got one considering you are a K1! Don't stress about the job thing either, that's why EI is great to hold us over! I'm sure you'll find something.
