Anyone familiar with PineCone Research? They do online surveys and pay participants. I've been doing surveys with them for about 2 months. Yesterday I received an e-mail saying that I won a drawing (some surveys pay cash for completing them, others enter you in a drawing for participating). So, anyway I won the drawing and they will send me prize details and a W9 form via post to complete. Problem is theW9 requires a SSN and I'm not giving that out without much more information.

So, there is no listing for them with the Better Business Bureau. The e-mail stated that the prize would be a check drafted from their parent company AC Nielsen (which is the Nielsen company that does the tv viewership ratings). The details of the drawing are at this link.

i have been using Pinecone research for about five years. they usually pay $3 per survey you fill out, but recently started doing jackpot drawings for $300-500 prizes per survey that you fill out. if i were you, i would email the company directly at their website and verify it.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. Yes, everything checked out. I submitted the paperwork and received my prize check a couple of weeks ago. Cashed and cleared.....

I heard about this Pinecone business, always wondered if it's really worth it? How much time do you spend submitting your surveys and how much money have you made so far?

I have earned about $18 so far (6 surveys $3 each) and won a $500 prize drawing. I don't think you'll be able to pay bills by participating in PineCone Research. But there surveys are pretty interesting they take 10-20 minutes to do. The ones I have done have been for new products or new marketing. I understand that they sometimes send samples of new products for testing. I haven't gotten any of those.

yeah you are not going to make a tonne of extra money .. just a little extra spending money..

I have one survey site I am a part of where I am a few points short of 2 free movie tickets...

I have another site where at a certain amount of points you can get $10+ gift cards for different stores and restaurants..
