Well, we had our AOS interview in Charleston,SC. this morning. We have been reading this site and I gleaned a lot of info from it. First off , be prepared and bring every bit of paperwork you think you might need as you just might be asked for it and you never get a second chance for a 1st impression.

We arrived and the security was tight. Armed guards and a 15 minute screening by security. Checked in and awaited our turn.Had our name called and were led into a nice office where we were sworn in by a nice cleancut man. He asked for all the IDs and proceeded to ask where we met and about our wedding several years before. He was very professional and seemed interested in our answers and our interaction. Standard questions about past and arrests. We were approved on the spot and the passport stamped. Thats it. Hand shake and we were off. Back at the hotel and a email awaited saying greencard had been ordered. We are very happy.

We started the process 5 months ago and its over. Remember to be very honest with the agent interviewing you about your past as telling any lie is a big no no. If you have documentation on your past, bring it.

Thanks for this site as it prepared us for the meeting and was very informative.

Good luck to you all.......

Congrats!! That's were we'll be going as we'll live in SC, Charleston only being a two hour drive away.

Course, I'm praying it gets transferred to CSC... because I've read if it does that...then there's usually no interview!! At least we'll be together, and there is nothing in our past we need to worry about anyways..
