While you're at it - can you see if you can buy a cheese sandwich with an image of Christ on it, or a potato that looks like Gordon Brown?

That can be arranged as well Pike. Blue Potato OK?

I think it has been. Came across an article earlier to that effect, with photographs of the thing.

The only people who are propagating conspiracy theories are bloggers and dishonest grandstanders like this soldier.

If you check google news with 'obama birth certificate long form', there are recent articles which state it has never been shown.

At the end of the day, if it exists, why is it being so heavily guarded in secrecy? It is supposed to be public record, so why isn't it?

It's not about secrecy, it's about not feeding a lunatic fringe. There's no obligation to satisfy some morons who think they have uncovered some grand conspiracy. It's idiotic any way one slices it and it does not deserve any feeding, let alone any validation.

And what are you willing to bring to the auction for the certificate? I assure you... I have it.

As I say I would really be interested to know who in the established media (meaning journalists, newspapers, radio, TV news media) is propagating this story. That's a much easier question to answer!

Well, of course the die hard conservatives will ride this as long as possible...I wouldn't expect anything less from either side, given the circumstances...But imo, at the end of the day, there's enough legitimate questions surrounding this thing to keep any reasonable person wondering. Surely, there is bias on both sides of the fence, which will always come into play. I didn't vote for him, am not impressed with the job thusfar, but I would love it if he just produced the fuquing thing so everyone should shut up about it. His refusal to do so will only fuel these fires.

There would be legitimate questions if there was any shred of evidence that Obama's mother gave birth outside the US (there isn't) or if there was no confirmation from the officials of the state of Hawaii that Obama was born in Honolulu as stated on the birth certificate that has been made public (this has been confirmed). You confuse legitimate concerns with frantic and bizarre efforts by a lunatic fringe to manufacture out of thin air a scenario that simply never occurred.

When it can be used by military personnel to get out of duty, it should be put to bed. Instead of revoking deployment orders, just make the damn BC public. When there are congressional hearings on one candidate's eligibility to run for POTUS, but not the other, it should be put to bed. When school records, passport records, birth certificates, etc are sealed, with the politician spending nearly a million $ to do so, it should be put to bed.

These are valid points, and imo not 'lunatic fringe idiocy'. The only lunatic thing about this, imo, is that even with his past shrouded in such secrecy, he won. The American People have a right to know who is in office. You don't want your personal life delved into, don't run for office. Otherwise, this is fair game, and really quite logical to me. Way too many questions, afaic.

Although Obama officials have told WND all such allegations are "garbage," here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility:

* New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo has filed a case on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others alleging Congress didn't properly ascertain that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president.

* Pennsylvania Democrat Philip Berg has three cases pending, including Berg vs. Obama in the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, a separate Berg vs. Obama case alleging he wasn't qualified even to be U.S. senator and Hollister vs. Soetoro a/k/a Obama, (now dismissed) brought on behalf of a retired military member who could be facing recall to active duty by Obama.

* Leo Donofrio of New Jersey filed a lawsuit claiming Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court but denied a full hearing.

* Cort Wrotnowski filed suit against Connecticut's secretary of state, making a similar argument to Donofrio. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court, but was denied a full hearing.

* Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes headlines a list of people filing a suit in California, in a case handled by the United States Justice Foundation, that asks the secretary of state to refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office. The case is pending, and lawyers are seeking the public's support.

* Chicago lawyer Andy Martin sought legal action requiring Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle to release Obama's vital statistics record. The case was dismissed by Hawaii Circuit Court Judge Bert Ayabe.

* Lt. Col. Donald Sullivan sought a temporary restraining order to stop the Electoral College vote in North Carolina until Barack Obama's eligibility could be confirmed, alleging doubt about Obama's citizenship. His case was denied.

* In Ohio, David M. Neal sued to force the secretary of state to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii. The case was denied.

* Also in Ohio, there was the Greenberg v. Brunner case which ended when the judge threatened to assess all case costs against the plaintiff.

* In Washington state, Steven Marquis sued the secretary of state seeking a determination on Obama's citizenship. The case was denied.

* In Georgia, Rev. Tom Terry asked the state Supreme Court to authenticate Obama's birth certificate. His request for an injunction against Georgia's secretary of state was denied by Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter.

* California attorney Orly Taitz has brought a case, Lightfoot vs. Bowen, on behalf of Gail Lightfoot, the vice presidential candidate on the ballot with Ron Paul, four electors and two registered voters. She also has brought forward several other cases and has conducted several public campaigns to generate awareness of the issue.

* In Texas, Darrel Hunter vs. Obama later was dismissed.

* In Ohio, Gordon Stamper vs. U.S. later was dismissed.

* In Texas, Brockhausen vs. Andrade.

* In Washington, L. Charles Cohen vs. Obama.

* In Hawaii, Keyes vs. Lingle, dismissed.

In addition, other cases cited on the RightSideofLife blog as raising questions about Obama's eligibility include:

* In Texas, Darrel Hunter vs. Obama later was dismissed.

* In Ohio, Gordon Stamper vs. U.S. later was dismissed.

* In Texas, Brockhausen vs. Andrade.

* In Washington, L. Charles Cohen vs. Obama.

WND has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=103918

of course, you'll dismiss the source, but I'm sure each case cited could be independently researched. This is costing the taxpayers a lot of money...for what purpose? Because he doesn't want to make PUBLIC RECORDS, public? Cman...thinking for one's self that something smells rotten in Denmark does not a conspiracy theorist or lunatic fringe member make.

The service person bringing on frivolous charges against the commander-in-chief ought to be dishonorable discharged and ought to bear further any appropriate consequences of his actions. Validation these actions do not deserve.

The American people know who is in office. The mere fact that a lunatic fringe of the population pretends that they do not, doesn't change that.

So they get a hearing on the merits of the case before this judge chases them out of his courtroom as many others have done before. Big deal. The lunatics ought to pay for this madness rather than the taxpayer. The shysters that bring on these frivolous suits ought to be slammed with fines. That is how this nonsense is put to rest. Not by validating it.

Funny how the same folks who support these frivolous lawsuits are often the same that support tort reform.
