Hello Guys,

We will be leaving in the middle of July for the States. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should bring with me for the flight to the States since I am pregnant? And Whats the most comfortable thing to wear for the long flight? Since I am always hungry can I bring some food in my carry on bag? Any suggestion are welcome

wear whatever is comfortable for you... comfortable clothes are different for everybody. bring jacket, cannot bring water (must buy inside the airport if you wanna drink), few toiletries, remember no liquids on carry on bags for more than 100ml, do not bring nail cutter, no scissors either.

wear whatever is comfortable for you... comfortable clothes are different for everybody. bring jacket, cannot bring water (must buy inside the airport if you wanna drink), few toiletries, remember no liquids on carry on bags for more than 100ml, do not bring nail cutter, no scissors either.

Yeh, you can buy whatever you need to drink after you get through security at the airport. If you try to take it through security, they'll throw it away. As far as food goes, You can take pretty much anything you'd like. I don't know what airline you'll fly but I flew China Air from San Francisco to Taipei a while back and they served 2 meals - both were really good They take good care of you. If you can choose your seat, get an exit so you have more room or at least an aisle seat. If you can't choose now, when you get to the gate where you'll board, go see the attendant there (if you have a bad seating assignment) and ask if there is another more comfy seat still available. I'm very tall and have real good luck with them changing it for me Best of luck and have a safe trip!!

You can't bring drinks in with you but you can bring in an empty water bottle and fill it up at a drinking fountain. I like to drink a lot of water when flying or I get headaches from dehydration. Most planes though have water on board though so its not really needed. I've had no problems bringing food on, though I wouldn't recommend bringing anything with peanuts in, as if the peanut dust gets into the recycled air it can effect people with allergies badly.

If you have same problem with your feet swelling as my Sister in Law did when pregnant I would recommend pressure socks to help stop your ankles swelling up and hurting, I wear them on long haul flights.

Clothing wise, loose stretchy clothing you can layer is what I travel in. Comfortable pants are your best choice, I once tried to sleep on a Sydney to LA 13 hour flight in jeans and swore never again. It doesn't always look nice, but I bring a change of clothes in my carry on and change before I hit immigration so I look more respectable, there are usually toilets in the airport you can pop into.

I brought some hopia and macaroons from Goldi and put them in my check-in luggage. My metabolism is fast so I easily get hungry so I always need to be prepared If you are like me then you gotta have something to bring with you in your check-in luggage

If you have flown already and you had ear pain during the take off/landing then follow this tips to avoid happening it again. I took ibuprofen and it all went fine.

And most of all, don't forget to hand carry your brown/yellow envelope, visa and boarding pass tix.

yup, it is ok to bring those as long as you'll put them in your check-in luggage bili ka ng malaking cuticle remover (yung sa HBC) kasi wala dito nyan sa US

oooppss! sorry, i forgot that you are pregnant. my ob/gyne don't recommend me taking ibuprofen. maybe you can use some of the other tips in that site aside from the ibuprofen. i brought ear plugs too which cost Php50 in Ace Hardware, i didn't use it though caz the ibuprofen worked on me

What about polvoron and pastillas... since it has milk, is it ok still?

oo hassle nga ang rubber shoes (tennis shoes). yan yung suot ko nung dumating ako tas napagod lang ako kakatanggal at pagtali ng shoe lace ko while carrying my big purse at jacket. pero if you'll wear flip flops then bring socks na rin in case lamigin ka sa plane

Traveling from our country to the US is very exhausting no matter how you look at it. I think you're all set to travel. If you're a catholic, a small bible or something that you can read on your trip aside from the magazines in the plane. Be safe and good luck on your journey.
