How Long Does it take for an Investigation?

We Got married almost before 2 years filed AOS in October 2007 had interview in Feb. or March 2008...

Interview was ok normal questions asked ... interviewer did not say approved but said that FBI name Check results are not back and he will check them back later.

we went to Infopass many times after that last time we went they told us that case is back from Name Check but is sent to Investigation now..

Contacted our senator and got letter saying that "We have to receive clearance from all agencies.. blah blah"

i m sure they are investigating legitimacy of our marriage.

do they wait for 2nd anniversary some time to give GC?

any body know how long this type of investigations can take to be finish??

Contacted senator already... did not work what else can be done now?

People from the "hot spots" are examined more thoroughly and from what people here on VJ are saying the waits can be very long. Pakistan is one of the countries where the background checks are very thorough.

Hang in there and keep in contact with your Senator's office. Hopefully their pressure can help to get better answers for you.

Why i think its about our relationship is because last time when we went to Infopass officer was very friendly she told us that its not security check its about your relationship they doubt it and sent the case to investigation.
