Well a week later the RFE has at last arrived in the mail. I put my shades on to shield my eyes from the bright yellow paper (####### is that about?) and it turns out they want something you guys (or most of you) have already done an I - 693 (Medical)

So of to the docs on Tues morning then hopefully back on track.

Good luck to everyone.

We did not send in form I-693. Only the vaccination supplement (DS-something). We haven't received an RFE yet. I was assuming if we did, it would be after his bio. appointment, but it looks like you got an RFE shortly after you got your NOAs. Crossing my fingers that we don't get one!

WOOOHOOO!:dance: Just got email notification for a CSC transfer! They transfered it today Aug 3rd, both myself and my son!!!!!

I really hope this means no interview!!!!! And to think that I was studying all your timelines and thought that if I was getting a CSC trans I would find out in the next couple of days....I had just checked my on line status an hour before!!!!

Does this mean they have already reviewed our file? I wonder if we can still get an RFE? I'm curious to know if I filed our forms ok lol..

Holy, I hope they are going as fast as they have.....CSC transfers have been getting card productions in 6-9 weeks!

Such great news!

Hi Julia. Our case was transferred to CSC also, yippee!!

As for your comment on the RFE, Yilmaz and I did the same as you and only sent in his vaccination supplement. So, like you, I hope we don't have to get and RFE and then get another physical (more money, which we are running short on!!).

As I know it, if your medical is less that 1 year old, and you have your vaccination supp, you are ok..... now anything unique or outside of this I cannot comment, but I know many people in the Canadian forum that had just the vacc supp on a medical less than 1 year old, and had no issues.

I really hope I filed my forms ok.... I pride myself on the work I did lol.... I will be impressed if I get a GC issued and a smooth process :)

I have seen cases that only send DS-3025 go both ways, some have gotten RFE's, some have not. Most people risk it and see what happens and they're ok. But I have definitely heard of people getting RFE's so don't be shocked... But I hope all goes smooth for those of you who didn't bother with the I-693!

In our case my husband didn't know to get his DS-3025 and the doctor was a moron so we didn't have one. Had to go get the full medical anyway ($170). I think it was worth it, rather be safe than sorry personally.

I worry about getting an RFE for my son's medical...all I did was send the vacc supp, but he was required to get another Hep B shot since that medical, which he did, but it's not on there...I worry they'll return it....worst case, i'll have to get it transcribed and updated....even if it does delay my GC by about a month...no biggie....we are still together...so I don't worry lol

Just in case...does anyone have the contact info of that Surgeon General in Texas?

I'm pretty sure you're only required to start the vaccines out of the country, it's your own responsibility to finish them here, so you should be ok as far as his shots go.

But just in case, here's Dr. Arnold's info:

Dr. L. E. Arnold

4534 Westgate Boulevard, Suite 106

Austin, TX 78745

Tel: (512) 444-3131

Fax: (512) 447-4699

You have to call and leave a voicemail, they don't usually answer the phone.

This is strange. We just got a biometric appointment notice today for my 9 year old daughter on her AOS from K-2 visa. I thought under 14 years old did not have to complete the biomentrics. I wouldn't care except it's time off from work/school. Any ideas?

Scott,

This might seem like a silly question, but did you only file AOS for her? Or did you file EAD as well?

If you didn't file for an EAD for her, which I assume is the case:

I think you should call USCIS first, and see if you can get anywhere with them. They may just cancel the appointment, but I doubt it. Since not appearing at a bio appt is considered abandonment of application, I would say just go anyway unless USCIS says otherwise, they might need her photo for her GC and won't take fingerprints, or something equally as silly. Or you could show up and they'll see she's a child and inform USCIS in some special tin can communication process they have. I'm not sure about the K-2 AOS process so I could be wrong here, but I think that's the steps I would take, and from reading other posts on VJ as well. Always better to be safe than sorry!

Edited to add - also see above, Poprocks' K2 also has a bio appt.

Exactly...I decided that I would rather take the chance of not having to pay more money and possibly having to pay for it later if we get an RFE, then paying more money upfront without knowing if we had to or not. Now, if cash was flowing for us right now, I would have just gone ahead and done it, but that is not the situation!
