Missing My Canadian Forum Friends...

Just wanted to take a moment and thank all of you for all of your help as Duncan and I have been going through this immigration process. I know that since he moved here, I haven't posted much. I just don't want anyone to think that now I've had your help, I'm out. I know many people do, do that exact thing. But, I feel honored to call you all my friends.

I just wanted to check in and let you all know that things are going well, now that he is here and we've settled in to our lives "together". Things are SO much easier now! From day to day chores to just enjoying having someone else around to watch TV with... all is so great.

Again, I don't have much time, as we're off to my parents' place for dinner in a bit, but I thought I'd share a very brief update on everything that has beem going on.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer... wherever you get to enjoy summer!

I'm glad everything is going well July! I feel the same way! The relationship is just so much simpler now... Its so nice being together and just being able to sit around and enjoy each others company. The big day is coming up soon! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Glad everything is going well for you! And we SHOULDN'T be hearing from you lots...my my, but you're a busy girl!! Lots to do...and spending time with your man is one of them!!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. Right now, every picture or video I see about a wedding just gets tears in my eyes. Mine is coming up soon, but it still seems so very far away....

Good morning... and unfortunately, this isn't such a happy "check in". My dog, Kassie, a black Lab was limping around last week. Anyway, the vet determined she might be seriously ill. To be honest, I cried and cried last night. Anyway, I woke up early this morning and came up with an idea. I thought about blogging our way through this icky stuff. I'm trying to find the light side of all of this. If I can help someone else learn more about what Kassie might have, then this will all be worth it. If you're interested, check out Kassie's Tale.

This isn't fun, but humor can go a longggggg wayyyyyy when things are tough. Right??

Aw July, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I know what it's like to have sick animals (both cats and dogs). I hope that you can figure out what it is!

I am sorry about Kassie as well - I hope you get a more definite diagnosis soon and it isn't as bad as you think. Good luck to you both - and Kassie sounds like a wonderful, wonderful dog.

Thanks, everyone. Things are much easier this morning, than last night. Kassie's up & moving around, not limping as much... I hope the pain meds are doing what I hope they're doing and what they're supposed to be doing.

I am sorry about your Kassie

I work at a vet and I have seen a few patients with bone cancer in the past few months. Hopefully the meds will help be more comfortable for a while so she can stay happier.

I don't know if they took x-rays of her leg, but just to let you know depending on how far it has progressed and which leg it is sometimes there the possibility to amputate the leg. We have a 3 legged Rottweiler that comes to my work, he had the surgery about 2 years ago on a front leg and a little bit of chemo and he is doing great. It also depends on how her overall health is doing to be able to have surgery done. Just wanted to let you know just in case it wasn't mentionned to you by your vet.

My daughter's cat had his leg amputated a year ago. He keeps forgetting that it's gone because he'll be sitting there washing himself, then turn his head to wash his missing leg and get this confused look on his face like .... where's my leg?
