I'd like to help my Colombian girlfriend obtain a US tourist visa.

How difficult will it be for her to obtain one?

She is 30 years old, has no children, lives with her parents, and works in an electronics warehouse in Medellin.

How much money does she need to have in her bank account when being screened through the process?

Is it easier to obtain a K1 or a K3 visa?

My girlfriend and I would eventually like to get married in Colombia.

Thank you

Pretty difficult from what I have seen.

She is 30 years old, has no children, lives with her parents, and works in an electronics warehouse in Medellin.

Would probably need stronger ties than that. (to prove non-immigrant intent)

How much money does she need to have in her bank account when being screened through the process?

Varies by embassy. I saw one case for the Ankara embassy needing 10k in the bank

Is it easier to obtain a K1 or a K3 visa?

All about the same in terms of being "easier", but I would get an CR-1, in accordance to your next statement.

My girlfriend and I would eventually like to get married in Colombia.

Thank you

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Slim to none as this is a very very difficult embassy. Also I see some pretty good answers here to you from Before stating this will be a little difficult given the Bogota embassy Previous post and her current living situation. And a lot of these answers coming from Colombians themselves

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

It's a 50/50 chance of getting it. But in all honesty about 90% of the people who go for a tourist visa get denied, especially if they don't have very strong ties to their home country. Things like a steady job, family obligations, good income, good money in the bank, property, basically any reason/evidence that screams out loud that the person has absolutely no need or intention of staying in the US and is only coming for a visit.
