If your I-130 gets and aproval before you become a citizen, you contact NVC and update the info that you are now a UCS. If it's not approved by them call USCIS to update I-130 and send a copy of citizenship certificate along with a copy of receipt of I-130.

By applying now you have saved yourself and you spouse about 6 months of processing time. May take 2-6 months for NVC to process and set up interview date when USC.

I just got email message from USCIS that my I-130 was approved today, my PD is September 2010. I am in the U.S already, is there any benefit I can derive from an approved I-130? (like EAD card for example).

I don't understand the U.S immigration system....the spouse of an F-1 student, H-1B worker, can derive some immediate status from their spouses why would the spouse of a Permanent resident be in limbo waiting in line for a priority date that goes back and forth?

You have the same dates as my sister who is petitioning for her husband. She got approved today as well

Just have to wait now for the visa bulletin and see if there will be any good news soon

I still cant get over of my greatest news that i dont have an interview date yet.. cant still get over... and im seeing some of the people from here that it took them just 2 weeks to have their interview date after case was completed.... time, timing, and luck is really playing with my family life..... to some people that filed january and was completed in 4 months... their family is already here and already enjoying the green life of US.

not happy with the whole process at all.... not happy.... i thought all this time, life is that only thing that is UNFAIR...... now i have to add the TIME.
