Lisa - Where is your EAD application now? Did USCIS ask you to send it to Santa?

The ombudsman stepped in and said that if we send it to the Easter Bunny, the processing time should be cut in half

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

HAHAHAHAHHAHA !!! I'm sure the bamboo thing will be dead by next month. It has 3 stalks... one of them is already brown. Who knows.... I seem to have a black cloud hanging over me. I thought it was because of Tucho.... Maybe it is me

So it went from being hot as H*LL to rain.... #######??

I met this couple when I was over a friends house. An american girl married to a Costa Rican. Nicest people you would ever want to meet. They begged me not to think all Costa Ricans are #######..... The wife was sharing her VISA JOUNREY experiences with me.... She told me she knows what I went through... It is so nice to talk to someone face to face who actually knows what the deal is with the embassies.

Makes me wanna hang out with all of you and shoot the SH*T.

CnT I miss you so much. I miss our chats online. Call me when you have 4 hours to spare.. that should give me enough time to give you the highlights !!!!:secret::pop::yes:

Is there a way to avoid Removing of Conditions? I think I remember CnT saying something a/b waiting until your two year anniversary to file for AOS or something like that?

BTW- how is everyone? Lisa, glad to hear that Daddy Daycare is working out well. CnT, take a break from decorating! Jen, good to chat with you last night. Que, I too am SICK of the crappy weather! Seren, buy the most comfortable car. If possible, take one home overnight b/c you can't tell on the seats until you've been in them for a few hours.

As for us, Diego and I helped my friend move from Miami to Baltimore over the weekend. It was a crazy amount of driving (we drove her Jetta the whole way from Miami to Baltimore). I got a horrible cold, so I'm still miserable. Luckily D is taking good care of me and putting up with my copious amounts of coughing and snot.

D is going to start FREE ESL classes tomorrow. They're three days a week for 2 1/2 hours until the end of the month. I think it will be good for both of us!

K3 Interview 05/20/2009

POE Atlanta 05/26/2009

EAD NOA1 06/01/2009

EAD NOA2 08/2009

I-485 Sent 04/07/2010

I-485 NOA1 04/16/2010

Biometrics 04/28/2010 (assigned appt. date is 5/17/10, but we did an early walk-in with no problems!)

I-485 Interview 09/13/2010 (originally set for July, but had to reschedule, since we were in Europe then)

Waiting on GC to come in the mail!!!

Yes, if you have been married for 2 years when your AOS is approved, you get a 10 yr CG instead of the 2 yr. There is no removal of conditions or dealing with USCIS for 10 years! I found that out when we were still waiting for an approval and I was SO relieved and excited :) We immediately decided to go that route. You do need to file for a stand alone EAD. Seriously, after dealing with VSC and this whole thing... I dont mind taking a little break until Dec and then being DONE for 10 years. whew

Thanks! daddy day care is ruling :D

Cool about the ESL classes, bummer about the cold(glad he's caring for ya though(he better! :P)

Hello everyone B)

I've been a little busy, working between 85-90 hours per week ... on Friday through Saturday, 40 hours straight, no sleep, every week ... so I haven't been around much to post ...

Two steps forward, one step back ... I went to book the tickets for Ksenia today. For 8 weeks they were $720 each. Even as recent as Monday night, same price. Got paid today, went online to buy tickets and ... BAM! $998 each ... f'ing a ...

So we have moved things back a bit ... as of right now, Ksenia and Sasha will leave Kiev Saturday the 11th and get in Denver 7:30 am Sunday the 12th. I found a place for us to last a couple of months until we figure out where in Denver we want to plant down some roots. The schools, neighborhood, etc. will have a lot of effect on that. Ksenia likes the downtown feel, so we will start looking around that area ...

I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you to those who take a second to send me a text once in a while. You ALL have my number ...

Best wishes,

Steve

Steven! I am so glad you're okay! Damn! That's alot of work! So do you mean that they're coming the 11th of THIS month? God, I hope so! You'll quit one or two jobs when they get here right? Good to wait and let Ksenia pick out where to live :P I'm glad you like the texts. I always wonder if I'm waking you up by texting. Well, I guess when you have only a few hours of sleep, nothing can wake you! Best of luck buddy! Let us know when you've got more time on your hands.

Hello to everyone :D I miss you guys. Yesterday we finally moved the living room back into its place. However, now my pillows, lamp shades, and tables don't match the new color...sheesh...so today, God willing, I am going to shop around for those things. Since I blew all my overtime money on the floor, I think I'm just gonna blow what little is left and have husband install a new sink for me. Last night I was on the floor buffing it by hand (apparently the only way to get the grout residue off the tiles). So by today the living/dining room should be FINISHED. The bedroom is being prepped. Just needs a paint job. We're not going to do anything drastic to the bedroom so that should be finished in a day or two. The tiles were already done in there. I just have to get on the floor and buff... that is so exhausting!

Funny story...all this work has totally exhausted the both of us...and on top of it all, my husband has been forced to do the watering early morning and late night (drought restrictions). So he's doing that on top of all renovations. With 100+ weather, the flowers are still suffering. The landscape was so so beautiful a couple of weeks ago... now it's just blah :dead: So last night as I fell asleep at the dinner table (around 11pm)...I realized that I have neglected my wifely duties to poor hubby (maybe that's why he's so cranky)...so I forced myself upstairs, showered, and changed. Husband was on the phone...I gave him my "come hither" look and told him to come to bed. I got into bed and the next thing I know it's 5am and my alarm is going off...apparently I fell asleep before he was able to "come hither"...and I look next to me, my husband is sprawled on the bed, fully clothed in his jeans, shirt, belt, socks, etc...apparently he got to bed and passed out asleep too! Poor us!
