The Germs are playing in Hollywood next month, and I thought we could share about our favorite Punk Rock artists.

Anyone have a favorite they would like to talk about?

Socially-conscious lyrics, and the band rocks hard. I listened to their classic CD yesterday, and I'll be listening to it in another 10 years. Metallica covered their music back in the mid 80s, but it just wasn't as good as the original material.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Another one that I don't really like but yet find myself strangely interested in is Nina Hagen.

Another one that I don't really like but yet find myself strangely interested in is Nina Hagen.

My fellow Americans might shun me but I have always liked the sex pistols more than the Ramones.

I never really liked either :P but I think technically the Ramones started the punk movement, not the Sex Pistols.

For some reason when it comes to hard core music I prefer the German stuff. It just sounds better to me :)
