Hey, i was wondering if someone could help me out here.

I see that it asks you to copy the front and the back of your birth certificate to prove your American, but i only have a front to my birth certificate, any help plz?????

you have a back side it just happens to be blank....

Silly, yes.. my Birth Certificate only had print on the front also. But..... I copied the back and sent in basically a blank page, but i copied it anyhow. I am sure some would disagree but this is the USCIS and I did as they asked.

The back of my BC is blank also but that's what they asked for. So that's what I gave them. No problems here!!

Timeline:

03/15/08- Met online

01/03/09- Met in person for the first time.

01/15/09- Got engaged

02/18/09- Sent I-129F

02/20/09- Recieved at Vermont Service Center

02/23/09- NOA 1

02/24/09- Check cashed

02/27/09- NOA 1 Recieved hard copy in mail

07/04/09-NOA 2

08/08/09-NOA 2 Recieved hard copy in mail

09/15/09- Medical taken Sputum test required

9/22-9/24-Sputum Testing(Results negative) Now the wait begins for the culture results

11/24/09-Praise God Sputum culture negative......told to report to St Lukes for immunizations.

12/03/09- Medical Exam Passed and complete.

12/15/09- Interview Passed!!!! Visa Approved!! Praise be to God!!!

12/24/09- Visa in Hand

12/30/09- POE- JFK

02/22/10- Married

If God be for me who can be against me!!

my birth cert is only printed on one side but the state seal shows up on the back side if you look very carefuly I think that is why they ask for both sides to see if threre is a seal or not.

Dec. 24, 2009 NOA 2 Hardcopy

Dec. 28, 2009 NVC received but not sent to Embassy

Dec. 28, 2009 Sa maied Packet 3 to Embassy

Dec. 29, 2009 NVC forward to Bangkok, Embassy. Tracking by DHL

Jan. 03, 2010 Received by Bangkok Embassy

Jan. 06, 2010 Received email from embassy interview is set for Jan22.

Jan. 22, 2010 Interview at BKK Embassy passed

Jan. 27, 2010 Picked up Visa

Its not about how you pick your nose its what you do with the booger!

Birth certificates vary widely by State. Some have instructions on the back etc. Either copy both sides or make it clear there's only one side to copy.
