Please Help !

I am waiting for the NOA2 notice. I filed it on 04.14.09. I am concerned about the requirements of the affidivait of suuport because I have noone here to be a co-sponsor. My company is laying off people and I am worried that I may lose my job. I have offers for other employment, but my fiancee is worried that I must have a current position for at least six months to qualify as his sponsor. I am not sure if that is correct.

Can anyone give their advise?

That is not correct. You need proof of current income and/or assets to meet the public charge requirement If you get a new job a week before it is OK, particularly that you have past employment history. Just make sure you have evidence of the new job, an employment letter, a couple of check stubs, etc. Also show your previous check stubs. They are not going to deny you, if everything else is OK, because you got a new job.

Thanks for your post. I was offered a temp to permanent position but I am sure that if they see that I am still in the temp position that may hurt us. The position has a 90 day temp status, after that they will hire you permanently. I may just keep looking for a permanent position instead. I have other offers available that offers me a lateral position. With that being said I still meet the income requirements with our family size.

Also, recently, the Casa consulate hasn't required any financial information. My fiance interviewed April 29 and the consulate specifically told me in an email that no financial info was necessary. So you still have a couple months before the interview (f you just filed and got your NOA1 April 14, you may have another month before you get the NOA2, then a couple of months for the interview), then he has to come (insha allah) and you have to get married, THEN you file for AOS and provide the financial information. So you should have a few months at least!

that being said, of course I'm sure you want to get a permanent job and fast!

Good luck and cute photo!
