Hello everyone.....I was reading on here this weekend and I realized that when I sent my I-129-F in...I didn't make copies!! I can't believe I forgot to do that, but I did. I am wondering if I call the service center if they would make a copy and send it to me. I feel so embarassed to even ask. Any ideas?

Your DOOMED!

no - actually, making a copy is for your peace of mind, so when you wake up in a few days, after dreaming about "did i add this form? did I sign that form?", you will have your answer.

Now - your in for some restless nights, till you get the NOA2.

And, no, I don't think they will make you a copy, if you call them...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

You read this in the Guide(s) and it is simply a recommendation - a 'best practices' kind of thing. You should always make copies of anything you send to the government, especially life-changing processes.

You can (as others have said) reconstruct everything however.

Thety won't make any copies for you but you better recontruct your package and make sure to get all original documents becuase I made the terrible mistake of sending all original ducuments and kept copies and now I had to waste time getting all documents again and even my CR-1 case got stuck on NVC becuase I did not have the original papers from my wife divorse.

Good luck,

Orlando...
