So true, I didn't miss the sidewalks until they were gone. Maybe that's why the US has a much higher obesity rate, because there is no sidewalks for anyone to walk on. It deters me from going for a nice long walk, I'm sure it does others as well

I was contemplating that same thought. LOL I figured I'd use VJ to get us through the K!, b/c originally I thought that was all there would be! Wow... was I stupid to think it would be that simple!!! Anyway... after July and I marry my Canadian... should I keep my screen name or go to "normal" screen name (that I use for practically every other online ID).

Sorry... didn't mean to hijack this thread... just got me thinking "online" about something I've been thinking about for a while. Hmmm...

Speaking of bail bonds, I would like to point out that I am moving to the home of Dog the Bounty Hunter! Heck yes! I know what you're thinking, doesn't he live and work in Hawaii? And yes, he does, but he also has a shop in Denver and episodes are often filmed there. Its a good show! Don't judge me!!

I came from Miramichi, New Brunswick to Raleigh, North Carolina.

I've been there! (Lived in Oromocto.) I just love that name. I had no idea how to pronounce it when I first moved there, though. lol

OMG someone has heard of it! I'm so happy Hehee, I have friends that used to live in Ormocto. Not many people can say it. I always laughed when the news had to report and it wasn't the usual regional person "and now a story in MIRIE-MICHY "

I currently live in London, Ontario (though I 'grew up' an hour and a 1/2 away from here), and I will be moving to way-too-expensive-but-absolutely-gorgeous Santa Barbara, California.

And July - You will always be a July09Bride! I figure you can milk that screen name at least until 2010 lol

I am from Ottawa and will be moving to a small town in Northern GA....Dahlonega. It is about an hour NE of Atlanta. My fiance is in the army and has just moved there, so I have yet to visit. It sounds quite nice, but I think I will miss some of the creature comforts of living in a larger city, where everything that I need is only a 5min drive away.

Depends on the city. Denver for example has loads of sidewalks. In fact one of my coworkers just drove back from Houston and was complaining there are barley any sidewalks there. My other coworker from Houston agreed and said is to much different here in Denver where you can litterly walk for hourrs and hours on just one sidewalk if you wanted to.

So just depends on the city. Of course we also have one of the lowest obesity rates in the country too...

Moved from Cochrane Ontario, population 5,000, to Palatine IL, population 65,000 and a suburb of Chicago.

I was very pleased with myself yesterday. I arrived home from a visit "home" and drove through Chicago on I-94 to I-290 during rush hour......
