There is no DQ in Sumter? Cause there is one in Summerville across the road from my new house.

Someone did the same thread not that long ago if your interested to reading through that.

I didn't see it, only the one with "Where are you from?"...

It's nice to learn where people are moving. I love the sun too, but there is not that much difference between Montreal and Boston. Less snow, less cold, a few more warm weeks in fall, earlier spring - but, the climate is still similar.

Ice cream: I'm not a big fan of Dairy Queen, but I can stop by Ben + Jerry's on my way to Boston :P

Cool!! I don't think I could handle one there that close though!!

I love Charleston!! Truth be known I think I could handle living there!! Tim and went to see Cirque du Soliel in April. Fantastic show!!! We got tickets online for only $25 each, and I told him "we gotta go!!"

We'll have to meet up sometime!! Be pretty neat to find a few VJer's in around this area!

Oh summerville - I just looked that up today! This guy my Husband was talking to last night is from Summerville. He is the one that mentioned that they call people who moved from the North, to Florida (and then find it too hot) and then move part way back North again 'half backs' :lol:

lol! SC is wicked hot to me, I just got back on Tuesday, it was 90 when I left at 7 am. ( and 58!! when I landed in Buffalo, so cold here I have slept in a hoodie) If Florida is hotter then SC I better stay far away unless its winter. Sumter isn't too far North of Charleston I think, we went to Fort Sumter last fall and it was pretty... well kinda boring unless you like the civil war... But we did see dolphins in the harbor on the way back. (I'm practising my American spelling)

I find the Carolinas far hotter than Florida. It seems to be more of an intense heat there, even if they're the same temperature. There's almost always a nice breeze here. I guess because we're a thin strip between two bodies of water.

:huh::o

Moving to Boynton Beach, Florida. Just south of West Palm Beach and north of Boca Raton.

We went to a fancy schmancy restaurant in Boca that you had to book reservations months in advance. I guess because it had been recently featured in Gourmet magazine. Or was it Bon Appetit? Anyway.... it was nice.... but nothing to write home about. But the little shopping area it was in was very upscale and busy. A good night out on the whole.
